Do you have automation skills and programming experience in ABB 800xA or other commonly used PLC programming languages? Are you interested in automation design for waste-to-energy and biomass energy plants? Are you passionate about a world without landfills?
Then have a good look at this opportunity, as we are looking for an automation engineer to join.
Responsibility for a wide range of automation tasks
You will become an important part of the activities related to the automation, regulation and control philosophies for power plants. We are a small team and we offer a role, where you will be involved from start to finish of our projects. You will ensure that project control solutions comply with the requirements and conditions of our contracts and the applicable BWV technology standards.
You will be responsible for handling and coordinating automation tasks, creating the basic documentation for control philosophies in cooperation with your colleagues, and for programming source code for DCS.
The Electrical Design and Automation Department primarily supports four branches within the company, which are New Energy Plants, Licensing, Service and O&M business and also R&D. You will provide technical assistance on proposals and all automation aspects.
It is crucial that we, as a department, see the projects and tasks to the end, and we take part in implementing and commissioning the systems either from our office or on site.
You will have a technical working sphere and a workday with many shifts across systems and professional boundaries. Your job will take place in a good atmosphere and in close cooperation with good colleagues, who will contribute with professional feedback and specialist knowledge. You will get the necessary introduction and application-specific training where needed. You can expect 30-50 travel days per year.

Solid experience within automation and good cooperation skills
- Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably within electrical or automation and with an understanding of project execution with both electrical and mechanical deliverables.
- A broad knowledge of automation topologies and hardware set-up.
- Experience with setting up and programming solutions as well as establishing network and bus connections. ABB 800xA experience will be an advantage but not a requirement.
- Understanding of control loop mechanisms and dynamics.
- Interest in learning new automation software tools and automation skills.
- Understanding of projects with electrical and mechanical supplies.
- You master Danish and English in both writing and speech.
