We are ready to invest in you! So, join us to dive into the realm of stone wool processing. A mentor will help you learn all there is to know about our processes, and for the first year or so, you will travel with experienced colleagues to sites all over the world, seeing them in action.
This is who we are
At our HQ in Hedehusene, you will be joining our Process and Quality Service department. We are part of Group Technology (GT), which is a network of departments that provides machines, production equipment and entire production lines to our factories worldwide.
The team consists of 14 international process experts working together from various locations in Europe. Our job is to help factories (OPCO´s), Group Development and the various GT engineering departments improve and run our production lines in an effective way. Doing so, we spend a lot of our time on-site as we help establish new factories, assess and evaluate existing production equipment and assist with problem solving.
“What we know isn’t something you can study at a university. It is uniquely tied to the stone wool production, and you’ll get to learn about our processes from some of the most experienced experts within this field,” explains Department Manager Mogens Heine Larsen.
This is the role
Your first task will be to get to know and understand stone wool production and our processes. So, you can look forward to a thorough introduction to how different process parameters affect the quality of the finished products and how this influences production key figures.
For the first year, you will be working closely with a mentor and tackling tasks varying in extent and duration. You will travel to sites across the globe to:
Assist our OPCOs in optimising or troubleshooting their processes
Help GT engineering departments introduce new methods, equipment and processes, lending them your expertise to ensure this is done in the most effective manner
Assist Group Development with various tasks, e.g. testing and optimising new equipment, processes or products
Be part of teams that specify new production lines or factories and be instrumental in making these operate as intended during the early start-up phase – this includes training of local staff
Solve ad hoc production-related issues and problems
This is what you offer
Your primary strength is your curiosity and eagerness to learn. Other than that, we are open to your background, but you will need be able to discern complex physical processes, enabling you to comprehend the process parameters involved in the stone wool production. Likewise, you will need to understand the human aspect of the production process, which will come in handy when troubleshooting.
It is also important that you can learn to navigate at all levels of an organisation and within a factory setting. So, a good portion of frankness combined with great communication skills will be an asset, e.g. when challenging factory managers to convince them to invest in required changes.
Moreover, we imagine that you:
Bring a master’s degree in engineering, or perhaps you have s similar technical background, e.g. as a mechanical engineer or electronics engineer
Have an interest in gathering knowledge of the stone wool production
Are willing to travel the world between 100 and 150 days per year
Are fluent in English, both in speech and writing
