Manager for Cloud and Global Data Centre team

This is who we are
Your team consists of 9 senior specialists spread out across 6 different locations in 4 countries. Working with the newest technologies, your colleagues share a strong commitment and are good at proactively supporting each other, even though all their collaboration is virtual.

This is the role
Your team has a big potential, and one of your main tasks is to enhance their existing competencies and professional confidence to make them dare to excel.
You will also be involved in our ambitious “Factories of the Future” project that aims to enhance the automation in our factories. Here, you will help outline the scope of the project, select the technologies best suited for our needs and implement them.
Some of your main tasks will be to:
Build up services such as landing zones on Azure and Google, as well as the competencies within the team to deliver them
Have 1-1’s with the team to coach them in building road maps and help them align with our automation strategy
Drive the implementation of new procedures to create automation, for example by providing self-service for deployment of servers
Set priorities, allocate resources and manage costs and suppliers
Apart from your team, you will collaborate with IT colleagues like project, service, and business relationship managers as well as colleagues from other parts of our organisation.

You have a trust-based approach to coaching colleagues and an ability to spread your own positive attitude, especially when trying out new things.
We also imagine that you have:
An MA or BA in computer science or similar
Experience developing others professionally, but not necessarily colleagues on a senior level
Knowledge about Dell, VM-ware, Cisco, Windows and Linux, as these are our main technologies
A technical understanding of cloud technology and data centres, without having to be an expert
