As a Business Consultant you will work on strategic projects within the DSV IT-organisation
Based in our HQ in Hedehusene, we are setting up a new Strategic & Special Projects Team with the purpose to improve ways of working and to drive strategic projects across the Finance & Group Systems department. Finance & Group Systems is a part of DSV IT and owns all DSV Group applications such as Finance, HR, Compliance, ESG and more. We are expecting that the Strategy & Special Projects Team over time will consist of 5-10 employees, working closely together to ensure DSV’s growth and scalability within all global, group applications. Together with the team, you will ensure the digital future of our business.

Analyse, plan and execute on strategic projects and initiatives

The Strategy and Special Projects Team will consist of domain architects, business relationship managers, business consultants and communication specialists. The team will act as a resource pool to be deployed across Finance and Group Systems to support on strategic priorities such as integration of acquired companies. Furthermore, the team will continuously focus on optimising ways of working across the team and across Finance and Group Systems.

Overall, the responsibility of the Business Consultant is to perform business analysis and project management activities across the strategic portfolio. Doing so, you will build a large internal network, all the way from top management to developers and your peers and team members.

We imagine that you will spend your days:

  • Carrying out assessment and data collection to understand the organisation and situation
  • Conducting analysis
  • Interviewing colleagues and stakeholders
  • Facilitating workshops
  • Identifying issues and designing recommended solutions as e.g. optimised processes
  • Preparing management presentations
  • Presenting findings and recommendations
  • Creating high-level plans for implementation of the recommended solutions
  • Coordinating/managing projects resulting from the recommended solutions
  • Coordinating/managing M&A integrations and creating a process to re-use for upcoming integrations
  • Analysing, planning and managing orphaned projects
  • Preparing and facilitating training in the implemented solutions and processes
  • Ad-hoc activities within the team


You are organised, great at handling stakeholders and driving a quality mindset

Ideally, you are a structured person with strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. You enjoy working with various business and technology stakeholders at the same time. In terms of your experience, we imagine that you most likely have:

  • A master’s degree in business, computer science or another relevant field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the IT-business and a good understanding of IT
  • Experience with strategic problem solving
  • Experience with planning and managing projects
  • Experience with facilitating and documenting workshops
  • Experience with process analysis and design
  • Capable of creating professional management presentations
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of business environments
  • English communication skills
