Due to continued growth we have created a new role of Area General Manager to join our rapidly growing Global workplace Solutions business. In this role you will be responsible for the leadership, management, and development of an established Customer portfolio. Successful candidates with proven management skills in a complex matrix organization as well as commercial and contractual expertise would be highly advantageous. You will be organized, and detail focused with the ability to multitask and demonstrate strong commercial acumen.

You will be organized, and detail focused with the ability to multitask and demonstrate strong commercial acumen.
Key accountabilities
- Full responsibility for Profit & Loss including development of contract financial plans for revenue and profit delivery, reduction of WIP, debt, cost reduction and contract growth, and ensure that these are met and exceeded.
- Ensure continuous growth on both existing customers & new opportunities
- Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of the portfolio are exploited, to deliver increased turnover and profitability, ensure additional services and projects are added, and contracts are re-won on re-tender.
- Ensuring business policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented within the contract.
- Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across both our services and subcontractors’ activities, and that these are regularly reviewed.
- Ensuring a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.
- Provide a learning environment, and appropriate training and development planning. Ensure basic training needs are delivered, employees are fully competent to undertake their roles, and can reach their full future potential.

To succeed in this position, you have
- The ability to effectively navigate a matrix organization
- Credible management skills of relevant P&L levels
- Proven experience as leader of large teams
- The ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups.
- The ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
