The Youth Participation and Employment (YPE) program part of Oxfam works to give better opportunities for jobs, and participation in the community for the many young people who are otherwise excluded in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa).
Recognizing that unpaid care and domestic work constitute major barriers for women to access job opportunities and participation in the community, the YPE program is launching a regional awareness-raising campaign that amplifies women voices on lost opportunities due to unequal burden of unpaid care and domestic work.
Oxfam IBIS is looking for young and talented filmmakers, one in each of the YPE countries (Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia and Jordan) who together with a main director and technical advisor and the YPE management team will produce short documentaries of strong and inspiring stories of women and girls on how they dealt with unequal burden of care work and avoided lost opportunities and give examples of what these lost opportunities could be.
