IT Operations Specialist at Nordisk Film Cinemas
Movies must be seen in the cinema on the grand screen! At Nordisk Film Cinemas, our mission is to continually develop and improve the cinema experience for all film lovers across our cinemas in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Join our team as an IT Operations Specialist and be a part of our mission to continually evolve and improve the cinema experience for our guests.
As an IT Operations Specialist at Nordisk Film Cinemas, you will be part of our IT Operations team, which is responsible for the operation, support, and optimization of all Nordisk Film Cinemas’ IT infrastructure, with a focus on network and servers. Additionally, we provide support for all the cinema users via telephone and our service desk. This fosters a close working relationship with our two other IT departments: Digital Channels, which manages our web and app, and Ticket Solutions, which is responsible for our ticket system.
This is a unique opportunity to join the market-leading cinema in Denmark and Norway, which welcomes approximately 10 million guests to our cinemas every year. Your primary workplace will be in the iconic Nordisk Film office in Valby, where you will report to the Head of IT Operations.
Primary responsibilities and tasks
Your work tasks will include supporting our approximately 1500 users and 45 cinemas in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, as well as the daily administration and operation of the systems that our guests use to purchase tickets.
Furthermore, it is expected that you:
- Collaborate with your fellow IT professionals to handle our IT services for end-users.
- Assists with Service Delivery including direct management of tasks with our suppliers and partners
- Performs server administration tasks
- Participating in the team’s on-call duty roster according to the schedule
- Involvement in IT projects, in Denmark and across Norway and Sweden
Your qualifications
We expect you to have an educational background in IT support, as a data technician, or in a related field, and possess a high level of theoretical IT knowledge, preferably supplemented with practical experience. As a person, you are service-minded and you appreciate delivering high-quality work in timely manner. You are also a good communicator with experience across various business functions. Additionally, we value competencies in:
- The ability to communicate in Danish and English, with an understanding of Norwegian and Swedish is a great advantage
- The ability to independently manage smaller projects
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to reprioritize tasks
Professionally and systematically, you have knowledge of:
- Support for end-users and thereby also being on-call duty
- Operation of Windows and Linux servers
- On-prem Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD
- Cloud services like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
- Data network infrastructure, including construction and segmentation
- Basic firewall knowledge
It is considered an advantage if you have knowledge of:
- Check-out systems / Point-of-Sale (POS)
- System architecture
- Virtual server environments
- SQL database administration
You also should be prepared for a certain amount of travel activity when physical installations are required in the cinemas.
