About this opportunity
Welcome to the Service Fulfilment team. We add value by building and providing 24/7 Operations in several different technical system platforms. As Operations Specialist, you’ll play a valuable role in you’ll play an important role driving the operations stability and DevOps journey within Nordea.
What you’ll be doing:
- 24/7 operations of critical and highly available applications and platforms.
- Provisioning of environments
- Deployment of patches, service releases
- Platform and service troubleshooting and maintenance
- Windows and Linux administration of servers under our care
- Providing technical knowledge and support to projects and their development teams
- Developing our own tools for monitoring, maintenance and knowledgebase purposes
- Experiment and learn about new techniques and opportunities that can benefit Nordea, to build and prepare for the future.
You’ll join a you’ll play an important role driving the operations stability and DevOps journey within Nordea. The role is based in Nordics or Poland.

- Excellent understanding what else drives quality that just code quality when developing and delivering software

- Fluency in written and spoken English
Your experience and background:
- Basic Windows and Linux based system administration skills, with practical experience operating them in a virtual or cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Java 7/8 (reading stack traces, programming basics, error tracking).
- Strong platform knowledge on 24/7 operations level on different platforms that is on our scope: microservices, OBIEE, WebLogic, SOA and OSB
- Hands-on GIT/Bitbucket experience
- Excellent troubleshooting capabilities, using tools like Splunk and AppDynamics (will be a strong an advantage)
Nice to have requirements, but not mandatory:
- Continuous Integration and Deployment experience, utilising tools like Jenkins, Ansible or Puppet, in co-operation with
- Familiar with container-based architecture and infrastructure solutions, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
