As the Director of Pilot Operation, you will lead a manufacturing unit, responsible for the production of products used in the extensive clinical trials conducted by Novo Nordisk. As our new Director you will: Be responsible for the daily operation of our manufacturing lines. This includes production and planning, as well as the warehouse and shipment to our clinical packaging facility. Participate in new innovative device development project as customer, receiving and operating new manufacturing equipment to test and produce the devices for the future. Build and develop your teams and align employee skills and behaviors with the desired culture, with a focus on diversity and inclusiveness. Ensure clear roles and responsibilities between teams and employees and define the interfaces towards the rest of the organization. You will create a future outlook in terms of resource requirements and ensure that budgets are developed accordingly. Meet with your stakeholders on a regular basis, both in formal governance meetings and informally. You gather feedback and discuss the need for new projects to be initiated based on a variety of business drivers, and you bring them forward in the relevant governance forums. Report to the Corporate Vice President and represent Pilot Operation in the DMD Management team, where you contribute to organizational development and strategy discussions. As our new Director you will need to understand the key deliverables of the Department and which inputs and conversion processes are required to obtain them. You will be accountable for ensuring that processes are adhered to and comply with Novo Nordisk's regulatory and quality standards. LEAN mindset and Continuous improvement of current systems and processes is imperative, and you will be expected to identify gaps and opportunities for performance enhancement and take the lead in initiating relevant projects. Global travel activity is 5 to 10 days per year. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to: Hold an academic degree within engineering, life science or any other relevant field Have relevant work experience in manufacturing development and/or device production Be familiar with GMP production in a regulated industry Possess at least 5 years of people leadership experience Be fluent in English and Danish, both written and spoken. It would be considered as a plus if you have a previous experience in Lean and with clinical production. As a person, you are a team player who finds joy in assisting others and sharing knowledge. You maintain a humble approach and are open to listen, learn, and acknowledge your limitations by seeking help or advice. You possess exceptional communication skills, which enable you to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, as well as to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner. You are adaptable to changes in priorities and organization and demonstrate empathy towards others, taking an interest in your colleagues' well-being.

The Pilot Operation department is one of seven departments in Device Manufacturing Development (DMD) and consists of 4 teams and 80 employees. They are the operational unit ensuring production of clinical components, and devices. The manufacturing process includes plastic injection moulding, medical device assembly and packaging. Besides production the department conducts numerous tests, as part of new technology maturation, prior to introduction at the high volume production in other Novo Nordisk sites for example.
