Do you have experience in secondary packaging and enjoy working on global product development projects? Are you self-driven, with a toolbox comprising project management and packaging development skills? If so, consider joining our team developing a wide range of secondary packaging solutions at Novo Nordisk as a Packaging Development Engineer. The position As a Packaging Development Engineer in Secondary Packaging Development, you will be responsible for developing the Secondary Packaging for our Medical Device products. You will develop specifications using CAD software and be responsible for coordinating the design input, from a wide range of stakeholders both in Novo Nordisk and external partners. Your Design Input will come from our Mechanical Engineers, Graphic Designers, User Communications Developers, Machine builders, and external suppliers. You will primarily work with products in R&D, but you will also be involved in product Design Transfer from Development to our colleagues in Product Maintenance. In this role, you will; •Develop patient-centric solutions using design expertise and a patient-oriented approach. •Safeguard product functionality holistically by making trade-off decisions beneficial to the company and patients. •Impact the packaging of device products reaching patients by contributing innovative design solutions. •Utilize your understanding of upstream and downstream processes to enhance the effectiveness of your solutions. •Enjoy a position with significant influence on the packaging of medical devices for patients. •Access our dedicated prototyping workshop, allowing you to work iteratively and enhance your design creativity. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we imagine you: •Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field, or possess experience in Secondary Packaging Development. •Have experience with Design Control or a background in a highly regulated industry such as medical or pharmaceuticals, automotive, or aerospace, with potential experience in printing/converting. •Possess proficiency in CAD and/or IMPACT, MS Office, and a general ease in mastering IT systems. •Demonstrate professional-level language proficiency in both written and spoken English. •Exhibit project planning capabilities to ensure the timely delivery of your own and colleagues' deliverables. •Are acquainted with rapid prototyping, and may have experience working with graphical design tools and laser cutting. It would be considered a plus if you have a technical flair and familiarity with technical drawings and construction, as well as knowledge of secondary packaging raw materials. As a person, you possess good interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative attitude and the ability to compromise to accommodate different countering trade-offs. Your high degree of flexibility allows you to adapt to varied tasks, and you excel in keeping an overview of your responsibilities. Analytical and systematic, you demonstrate excellent communication skills. About the department The Secondary Packaging Development Team develops the specifications of non-printed packaging material and is responsible for the overall planning of related activities and input needed to deliver fully developed packaging material in alignment with Novo Nordisk timelines. We ensure the manufacturability of the design in collaboration with suppliers and production, and we strive to develop robust and sustainable solutions. We support numerous projects with different expertise, as such, tasks lying outside the above description can also be expected.
