The position As a Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced simulation models to optimize our manufacturing, material handling and intralogistics processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and drive operational excellence from conceptual design to commissioning.
Some of your key responsibilities include: Defining the scope and purpose of simulation & emulation projects within the manufacturing domain, gathering, analysing, and interpreting data required Developing and verifying simulation models using off-the-self tools Generating comprehensive reports with design or improvement recommendations Introducing and implementing simulation/emulation methods a part of conceptual, detailed design and commissioning of the manufacturing and intralogistics process pipelines
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we imagine you have: At least a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, or any other related field Minimum 2 years of experience with simulation and/or emulation engineering, preferably linked with manufacturing & intralogistics processes Knowledge of simulation software and tools such as Emulate3D, Visual Components, 3DExperience or any other similar Experience in setting up a 3D simulation with connected emulation for virtual commissioning, including modelling of system and device behaviour Basic understanding of automation control software stack, e.g., PLC, communication protocols, etc. Experience in modelling kinematic motion in simulation software Programming skills, e.g., Python, C++ Fluency in English, both written and spoken As a person, you possess excellent collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills. You are analytical and enjoy been part of an international team. Last but not least, you thrive in a dynamic environment, and you have a flair for matching existing technologies to user needs.
