Then join our Novo Nordisk production site in Hjørring called Needle Manufacturing and Sourcing – only 30 minutes from Aalborg. The position A Microbiological Engineer is a role of vital importance in our highly regulated industry. Your focus will be to ensure an overall excellent quality level and secure that our processes meet the requirements expected from Novo Nordisk and the authorities. In the role as Microbiological Engineer, you will be responsible for microbial control of production facilities and sterilisation processes for all pen needles produced at Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing in Hjørring. You can look forward to a job where you can help set direction and calls for you to be self-driven, but also understand the importance of teamwork. Your main tasks will be to drive development, implementation, validation, and maintenance of our processes within microbial control and monitoring as well as terminal sterilisation of medical devices. It will be your responsibility to ensure that our products and equipment are compliant with internal/external standards and requirements. This task is in close collaboration with our internal production and external suppliers. You will provide support to our production, e.g., when processes are faulty or altered. In those cases, it will be your job to ensure that we do not compromise on quality and compliance. The position is a maternity cover. Qualifications
  • You have a background as Pharmacist, engineer or cand. scient.
  • Experience within microbial control, controlled production environments, or sterilisation.
  • Thorough understanding of GMP, ISO13485 or similar QMS-standards.
  • Strong communication and driving force skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English and Danish.
    • It would be a distinct advantage that you have experience with working at a production site. You must be able to create changes, set direction, and independently drive cross-functional work with high level of quality and scientific insight. You are structured and thrive in a fast-paced work environment with many deadlines and change in priorities. Since the position requires interactions with many stakeholders, it is key that you know how to communicate in different layers of a large organisation. As a person you have a ‘can-do’ mindset, and you have an analytical approach to your tasks. You familiarise yourself with the topics and tasks and assess what the best solution is. You must thrive with complex tasks and be able to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines. We are looking for a colleague who can handle problem-solving in a systematic manner to eliminate problems completely. Thus, it is important that you are good at planning and working in a structured manner. You value a social atmosphere and are motivated by building relations to your colleagues. About the department You will be part of the Cleanroom and Sterilisation team which consists of both new and experienced employees with different educational backgrounds. The team is part of NMS which is overall responsible for the global end-to-end supply chain of Novo Nordisk's pen needles including both internal and external production, quality assurance, and manufacturing development. We are organised in six departments and with approximately 390 employees dedicated to ensuring the pen needle supply to Novo Nordisk.
