As EHS manager for Site Hørsholm, you are making a difference every day for people with allergy by supporting our colleagues to operate environmentally and safely. Your role as EHS manager for Hørsholm
You will play an important role in driving the EHS culture at the site, creating positive relationships with colleagues across different functions. Support Site Management ensuring compliance within local legislation and regulation, EHS data and on-going status on KPI, training, participation in projects and improve the EHS performance of the Site etc.
You’ll be able to share your knowledge, coaching colleagues and empowering them to operate sustainably and safely. You’ll act as the sole EHS manager on site but supported by a the local EHS groups and further you’ll become part of a well-established global team, sharing your own knowledge, and continually learning. Further participation in the global EHS network and in future participation in internal audit globally. Also join a global team and play a part in driving the ALK global sustainability journey.
Travel activity is expected from 5 to 10 days per year.
Fields of responsibility
Motivation of managers (stakeholders) and employees and support by maintenance of EHS data for reporting e.g. energy, water, and waste. Proactive by analyse, identify, and develop solutions for local EHS needs in cooperation with local management.
To maintain and up-to-date awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, to provide guidance and advice to managers, EHS groups and colleagues. Also, cooperation with the authorities' regard ALK EHS permits.
Review and maintain effective incident and accident reporting processes. Encourage proactive investigation of all accidents and near misses to prevent recurrences. Work with line managers to assist in the implementation of appropriate measures to proactively address EHS risks across the site.
Encourage employee involvement in health, safety, and environmental issues. Implementation and maintenance of EHS organization. Attend EHS group meetings to contribute to the implementation of solution. Participate in EHS training for established staff and provide induction training for all new employees, managers etc.

Our EHS department consists of 2 passionate colleagues in DK and 6 colleagues globally. We always try to develop our competences and processes to meet the needs of the patients and all stakeholders, internally as well as externally. We are driven by a high level of professionalism, integrity, an open-minded approach and contributing to an inspiring and fun working environment together with colleagues.
The position is located at the ALK headquarter in Hørsholm and it is necessary to live in an area where it is possible to commute daily to the office.

Your qualifications
As a candidate for the role you have:
- + 5-10 years' experience within EHS work
- Self-driven and proactive
- Knowledge of pharma industry is not mandatory but an advantage
- A service minded approach
- Communication on all levels of the organisation
- Analytical, structured, and strong in keeping overview
- Familiar with audits and the audit process
- English, good, in oral, and written
