About the role and key responsibilities
As a Senior IoT Specialist in the department for Digital and Sustainable Innovation at FORCE Technology, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to digital innovation research, development, and commercial consultancy.
Among our twenty-five highly skilled specialists and consultants in areas such as data and computer science, data analytics and machine learning, wireless communication, sensor technology, digital production as well as design and business innovation, you will contribute with your deep-seated knowledge of electronics and firmware design, and implementation, and digital technology at large.
Combined with your broad grasp of sensor technology, wireless communication, and cyber security you will apply these skills when seeking out digital solutions, advising, and innovating in the areas of production optimization, sustainable business development, and smart city applications. Our overarching mission is to shape a safer, more sustainable future for all stakeholders.

Your main workplace will be in Hørsholm, situated in the DTU Science Park, just 20 km north of Copenhagen. Reporting to Head of IoT Architecture and Technology, Michael Vaa, you will enjoy a flexible work environment that includes the option of remote work on select days.
Your profile
To excel in this role, we are looking for someone with:
An academic background in electronics engineering, at the B.Sc. level or above, specializing in electronic hardware and firmware design with solid knowledge of electronic product cyber security requirements and standards and preferably with knowledge of IoT technology, sensor technology, and wireless communication.
A track record of minimum 8-10 years' experience in developing and implementing digital and electronics solutions and technologies. If you have a M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree 5 years’ experience will suffice.

Strategic Consultancy:
- Guiding companies in selecting optimal and secure IoT solutions tailored to their digital and sensor application needs.
- Conducting technology scouting and benchmarking.
- Collaborating with clients to define solution and product requirements.
- Collaborating with IoT solution suppliers to ensure high-quality, purpose aligned IoT solutions.
Applied Research Projects:
- Engaging in collaborative applied research initiatives and projects with universities, research organizations, innovation clusters and industrial partners both in Denmark and internationally.
- Harnessing the power of data by enabling sustainable and secure digital solutions in these key areas: Digital and sustainable production, sustainable business innovation, digital water technologies and smart city applications.
- Disseminating knowledge through national and international conferences, webinars and workshops, white papers, peer reviewed articles, and articles in relevant scientific journals, industry magazines, and news outlets.
