The position
In Global Headquarters, you will be part of a team of medical-scientific experts, working in Global R&D, collaborating closely with other functions in ALK. The Global Medical Affairs Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing medical excellence across the affiliate medical organisation. Importantly, the role will be responsible for analysing medical field data, and developing cross-functional strategies that drive continuous improvement and impact in medical engagement and communications. The position will also co-develop, implement, and maintain quantitative and qualitative metrics for measuring medical value in close collaboration with the affiliate medical organisation. The role offers a unique opportunity to set the standard for analysing medical insights and developing actionable recommendations. The position will also identify opportunities to further expand competencies across affiliates.
The role may involve up to 10% international travel.

Your primary tasks will be:
- Assess medical field data in CRM, including medical insights, to develop actionable strategies that drive continuous improvement and impact in medical engagement and communications.
- Foster a culture of continuous medical excellence by generating evidence to support implementing data-driven activities and maintaining high standards in all medical affairs initiatives.
- Utilize medical activity data to offer strategic guidance, optimize performance, and understand medical impact across multiple channels ensuring alignment with overall medical communication goals.
- Coordinate, standardize and optimise medical processes, including HCP engagement, report metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Support training and coaching programs to improve HCP interaction skills of medical teams, including MSL´s, in collaboration with affiliate Medical Directors.
- Ensure compliance with ALK´s procedures, adhering to codes of conduct, regulations, and ethical standards.
Your profile
We expect that you have:
- Medical Doctor, PhD, or PharmD.
- At least 2-3 years of pharmaceutical/medical device industry work experience.
- Capability in balancing medical field data and insights with actions, while effectively demonstrating sound judgment and realistic understanding of issues, barriers, and opportunities.
- Experience with Veeva CRM.
- Proven ability to work in teams, cross-functionally, and independently.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
