Do you have a strong understanding of and a few years of experience with infrastructure (networks, servers, platforms, and applications) as well as of Cisco technologies? Can you communicate with stakeholders who holds limited in-depth IT knowledge? And would you like to work with our global production sites? Then you can become our new Network Specialist and be a part of Production Infrastructure activities within Core Network at Novo Nordisk.
The job
As a Network Specialist, you will become responsible for building and operating IT infrastructure and for providing PSNet in Novo Nordisk as well as implementing large scale Network projects. You will be working both independently and in close collaboration with the whole Infrastructure team as well as our stakeholders globally.
In addition, you will be working on how we can improve our infrastructure in terms of a transformation to virtualisation, automation processes as well as other initiatives improving our global set-up.
We expect you to think on behalf of users at the production lines and how you can add value to and be of service in their daily work.
Your qualifications
• You have an education as Datatekniker with speciality in Infrastructure or Bachelor (BSc.) or Master’s Degree (MSc.) in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant fields.
• Preferably, you have at least 2+ years of experience from a similar role with related responsibilities and tasks working with network security, or you are newly graduated, eager work with all the knowledge acquired during the study.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure, operations domain area, other IT technologies (e.g. covering networks, servers, platforms, applications, etc.)
• An understanding of Cisco technology. Further, it is an advantage if you have experience with SolarWinds.
• Strong knowledge of Wireless Networks and WLAN controllers
• You are motivated by challenging assignments, you absorb new knowledge quickly, and you are always open for developing new competencies.
• Ability to orchestrate communication with stakeholders who holds limited in-depth IT knowledge
• Independence, cross-cultural understanding, and fluency in written and spoken English are essential.
• Preferably, experience in working within an Agile/SAFe framework
• Certain level of mobility, since travel to our production sites might be necessary depending on activity
The department
The position is based in Global IT Operations – Production Infrastructure - an area with 120+ employees distributed across Denmark and India, fully managing Novo Nordisk’s internal dedicated production IT infrastructure network called PSNet. The purpose of our work is to support the digital infrastructure on each of Novo Nordisk production sites globally, making sure that the production lines are up and running seamlessly, continuously and secure.
We collaborate and co-create closely with colleagues across Novo Nordisk globally. We have a strong focus on collaboration, we are curious, and we are embracing new ideas on how to successfully deliver projects. We are on a journey applying agile ways of working in our organisation, and our IT projects will be delivered according to the SAFE framework with agile teams running sprints/iterations.
