The position
As an Associate Manager for Matrix Operations, you will have a central position in the team, but also within the department and other parts of the organization primarily the Production, Maintenance, Engineering teams, and the safety organization.

You will be part of a Novo Nordisk management team consisting of 4 Associate Managers, 1 Project Portfolio Manager, 1 Project Assistant, and the department manager.

You are familiar and confident with complex production processes, y can think and act with a broad and strategic perspective, seeing “The Big Picture” without losing sight or interest in important details
As an individual you are positive, corporative, action and solution orientated, and you work systematically, logically and proactive. You are robust and capable of handling a, from time to time, high and complex work-pace without losing the overview and motivation.
About the department
IM1 Projects is responsible for the investment portfolio and execution of projects in the production facilities. The department is organized in a matrix with approx. 170 colleagues executing the portfolio, consisting of many projects in different phases. We will be driving projects worth more than DKK 500mio pr year during the coming years.
You will be the Associate Manager for the team of WPO’s leading the technical disciplines in the matrix, including functions like Planner, Engineering Manager, Construction Manager and Project Assistants. On top of this you will be responsible for the operational part of the matrix organization, including recurrent evaluation of the setup, establishing board meetings and overall responsible for the recruitment of consultants in cooperation with the WPO’s.
Moreover, you will also be responsible for 2 Technical Experts within CE/ATEX. The team consists of internal employees and consultants. The WPO team consist of 5 leaders managing Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, Automation, EHS and Quality.

The position

- Coordination of daily activities
- Balancing resources
- Development of the WPO team
- Overseeing and following up on the discipline's internal cooperation and execution
- Managing staffing with consultants including follow-up on long-term manning forecasts
However, your main and equally important task will include you being an engaged, involving, and present leader for your employees, where you need to balance short-term needs with the long term development of both the individual and the team.
You will be part of a Novo Nordisk management team consisting of 4 Associate Managers, 1 Project Portfolio Manager, 1 Project Assistant, and the department manager.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you:
- Hold BSc/MSc in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry/Biology or similar.
- Have proven experience in leading highly qualified professionals from the pharmaceutical or medical device industry or similarly related areas
- Have experience with project management or management from GMP-regulated areas is a requirement
- You are fluent in English and Danish
