About the department Novo Nordisk in Kalundborg, is the world’s largest insulin production plant, with a size corresponding to 156 football lanes, and is large enough to have a 5.5 kilometre running track around the site. We employ more than 3.400 dedicated employees, who all sets ambitious goals and strive to make a difference to our patients by delivering products of high quality. The Purification Department is part of the business area Insulin Manufacturing II (IM2). The department consist of about 150 employees, divided into 5 teams which covers operational, maintenance and process support. The Support Team, that you would be part of, consists of supporters with technical as well as academic backgrounds. The position You will be expected to manage the complexity of supporting, controlling and optimizing equipment for chromatography, reaction and solid-liquid separation. Therefore, advance data analysis, process monitoring, dialogue with key stakeholders and recommendations for process improvements/optimizations are crucial. You will drive continuous improvements to ensure that our processes become more robust for future demand. When deviations occur, you contribute to the systematic problem solving with your knowledge, experience and dedication, so any repetitions can be avoided. Keeping certain process instructions (SOPs) updated and in compliance with current GMP-demands, will also be part of your routines. You will have ample opportunities to test ideas for quality or process improvements. Your workday will be varied, and you will have a great deal of influence to set your footprint on the future operation of the facility. Qualifications To be considered for this position, you should have:
  • MSc in chemical engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry or similar.
  • Experience with data analysis and/or process control.
  • Ability to analyse data and independently extract information.
  • Experience with data analysis tools like ex: SAS, JMP, Python or similar.
  • Understanding of how to convey complex information to varying audiences and thereby, explain the purpose to get everyone onboard.
  • As a person you have an appetite for solving complex problems, applying a systems approach to manage complexity and reach feasible applicable solution. You have the courage, the ambitions and the technical skills to drive the digital change and improvement of our data quality.
