The position requires a high degree of independence and a desire to improve laboratory practice. Your role as a Process Engineer/Scientist will include:
• Professional responsibility for equipment within the QC laboratory, with qualifications, maintenance and operations which is a major part of the daily work.
• Support stakeholders by providing equipment expertise and solutions with the purpose of securing stable production. • Facilitating and leading cross-functional and collaborative initiatives within the department between our stakeholders and ‘customers/colleagues
• Provide proactive support to the laboratory, ensuring the daily operations and equipment within your responsibility always performs with the highest output in the right quality.
• Project work that is contributing to the optimization and automation of existing processes and equipment. This also entails being curious about how other teams and departments work and bringing new knowledge to the team.
• Challenge existing processes in a respectful and constructive way. If quality and improvements are your passion; this is the job for you. You are expected to have a proactive approach to solving problems related to equipment used in the daily operations at the QC laboratory. An innovative and collaborative mindset is required regarding project work. The ability to coordinate and find simple solutions with respect to quality, cost, environment, and delivery, is highly needed. Qualifications
You are expected to have: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Demonstrated experience in a dynamic work environment, preferably in a GMP environment. Proven experience with laboratory equipment, including qualification and calibration. Experience working on projects related to automation and digitalization. High interest in new technologies and staying current with advancements in the field. Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in Danish as an advantage. As a person, you have a curious and can-do mindset, with strong and sharp eyes for innovative improvements that you apply when needed. You are positive and open with a drive to learn and take on new tasks. You can solve your tasks both independently as well as in cooperation with others in a systematic, simple, and effective way. You enjoy a dynamic workday with deadlines and find satisfaction in getting things done together with the rest of the team. You embrace new ideas and changes and are not afraid to take lead and bring new solutions, processes, and improvements forward, so we become even better. You are a strong communicator, and you find it natural to establish new relationships across teams and departments. You appear extroverted, stay calm and keep the overview in a busy changeable environment. About the Department The department IM2 QC Laboratory is located at Kalundborg and supports several productions. The QC laboratory performs chemical, microbiological and biochemical analysis as support for API and Biotech Rare Diseases (BRD). Furthermore, we are responsible for media production in API. We are approx. 130 highly dedicated employees, divided into 7 teams. You will be a part of the ‘Building, equipment and IT’ team which is responsible for the building and equipment at the QC laboratory in IM2. An experienced team with competence and a huge interest in automated and digitalized processes and equipment.
