The Position
The Utility Support team seeks an experienced Process Scientist with a strong technical background for the IM2 Recovery factory in Kalundborg. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain 24/7 production of Ethanol within specifications and quality standards, requiring expertise in distillation processes. You will define control charts, optimize equipment, and ensure the quality of ethanol in both columns supporting our 3 production lines.• Provide overall support and knowledge to the recovery process (Utility and Process) on a daily basis.
• Spend a lot of time with operators to understand how the equipment works in detail and how it impacts the entire production.
• As the Equipment Responsible, be responsible for fixing problems, involving operators, blacksmiths, and other supporters to get production back on track and minimize downtime.
• Use your knowledge to manage normal maintenance optimizations and larger rebuilds of technical equipment as the department is on an existing journey with many optimization projects lined up.
• Must have a high level of experience, understanding, and ability to learn about technical equipment.
• Work with periodic systems reviews, change requests, standard operating procedures, and protocols to support future improvement projects when the project transfers from project to operations.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position you have:
• Preferably a relevant academic degree e.g. a B.Sc.. Or MSc. in Natural Science, mechanical engineering, or marine engineering
• However, 3-5 years of relevant Pharma experience - especially within Ethanol and distillation production is a requirement
• You have GMP/GME knowledge
• Proficiency in writing various documents related to quality activitiesAs a person, you are ambitious, structured, and able to make quick decisions under pressure. You have a curious nature and enjoy collaborating with colleagues to share knowledge. Your motivation stems from understanding even the most complex systems and using that knowledge to define necessary arrangements and set directions.About the Department
