The position As a Principal Production Specialist, your responsibilities will include: Influencing production capacity management. This involves being a part of the management team, and working closely with the development department and production teams to optimize capacity and process performance. Collaborating on design and solution decisions. Your expertise will be utilized to provide valuable insights and recommendations that align with the organization's objectives and requirements. Working with freeze-drying equipment. You will optimize the performance and reliability of the equipment, ensuring consistent and high-quality production output. System verifications, change requests, and validation Driving operational excellence and mentoring. You will be involved in identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance overall process efficiency and productivity. Additionally, you will serve as a mentor and provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues, helping them develop their skills and knowledge. In this role, you will also collaborate closely with various departments such as Quality Assurance, Production, Development, Laboratories, and Technical Support on a daily basis. Your contribution to maintaining compliance with the quality management system and adherence to LEAN principles will be crucial in ensuring the organization's success in achieving its goals. Qualifications In the role of Principal Production Specialist, we are looking for a candidate with several years of experience in such areas as process validation and qualification, design of processes, system verification, as well as purification processes – from the pharmaceutical industry. We imagine that you also have: An academic background (for example as an Engineer or Master’s degree in life sciences) – or technical background with practical production experience Solid experience in defining best practices and desire to share expertise on how the processes should be designed and constructed. Fluent command of English. As a person, you have a positive attitude and a high commitment to work. You find challenges exciting and can maintain the overview despite being busy with various tasks. About the department You will be part of a dynamic business area in constant development that produce Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) for patients across the world. Insulin API Manufacturing I (IM1) is located in Kalundborg and the department consists of approximately 210 employees. As the team, the department, and the entire Kalundborg site is expanding massively over the next few years, there will be a lot of opportunities for our new colleagues to develop both professionally and personally.
