As Director you will oversee a well-established QC department within our area handling market products as well as new product entry. There are around 35 people in the department, mainly laboratory technicians and academics. The department is divided into two teams – a chemical and a biological team. Your main responsibilities include to: Set the direction for the department according to Novo Nordisk Way (our company values): you will adjust the organisation to fit challenges and ensure that the department meet the targets and KPI’s. Contribute to developing our QC area together with the management team Develop the department especially within lean and new technology: you will take part in driving the innovation and continuous improvement agenda both at a tactical and strategic level by implementing new technology, methods, and ways of working. Develop the people: you will secure trainings, competencies development, and documentation. Work with diversity and inclusion. You will report directly to the Vice President and be part of the management team in our QC area and together with this group you will be responsible for setting goals and implementation of strategic initiatives for the whole BRD QC area. Qualifications
You will be a great leader of the department because you have: Solid leadership experience (preferable more than 5 years of experience) Knowledge about GMP and preferably knowledge within QC or pharmaceutical manufacturing Interest or experience in working with new product entry Interest or experience in working with continuous improvement; Lean, adaptation of new technology, and new ways of working Full professional proficiency in English as well as a relevant academic degree On a personal level you are a great leader. You take pride in engaging, motivating, and enabling your employees to succeed. You are passionate about driving change and innovation. You possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. last but not least, you are able to see where changes can be made to improve the department and make things happen. About the department Our team is part of the Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) Quality Control area that is based in Gentofte, Hillerød and Kalundborg. Here we are approximately 330 colleagues who support the biotech production with a selection of chemical and microbiological analysis of product samples, crucial for always making sure the product is in high quality and ready for release to patients. We bring value to patients by delivering timely and reliable results that keeps production in control. We drive change by always looking for improvements and innovation within our processes - testing and implementing 4.0 technology to make the process even smoother and faster for the benefit of the patients.
