Then you might be our new Automation Engineer supporting the life cycle for BMS/FMS systems from the ground floor of a large-scale API project. Apply today and join our team. The Position You will be a key member in the Automation Team, working closely with stakeholders and other engineers to establish, qualify, validate, and maintain BMS and FMS systems as well as support these systems in a 24/7 manufacturing facility after project completion in operations. You will review documentation and be part of testing the solutions and will work closely with our production and utilities areas, our external partners, and with the different IT and automation teams across our entire organization. Furthermore, you will help ensure that the BMS/FMS systems are integrated with other systems, e.g., the DCS system 800xA from ABB, PI Historian, and with several types of instruments and equipment. Your will be part of a project of great strategic importance to Novo Nordisk, which has high visibility and support from Senior Management. At the same time, you will have a foot inside Novo Nordisk’s IT organization which supports all major expansion projects as well as operations. Responsibilities summed up:
  • Define risks, requirements, and specifications related to BMS/FMS
  • Support FATs, SATs, commissioning, and validation activities as the system expert
  • Ensure design and construction installation, system, and procedures according to Novo Nordisk standards throughout the project into operation and in the operation phase
  • Work with stakeholders, vendors, and other system owners to ensure project success
  • As part of the team, participate in vendor meetings, training, and workshops supporting the team
  • Continue supporting BMS/FMS system after start-up and throughout operations by providing technical on-call support to the evening and night shifts
  • Support the life cycle of the systems
  • Handle of deviations and changes in BMS/FMS
    • Your main location will be in Kalundborg, in close proximity of the manufacturing sites. As a lot of our collaboration partners work around Copenhagen, it is expected that you will also travel to work in those locations. Qualifications We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in most of the following skills and experiences:
  • You hold an M.Sc. or B.Sc. within IT, Engineering or have other relevant experience from recent positions
  • 3-5 years of professional experience within IT Automation; either from operations and maintenance, or from project participation
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and requirements Experience within the Pharma industry or other highly regulated industry (GMP) is preferred
  • Experience working with of the Siemens and/or Schneider systems is preferred
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and vendors
  • Strong English skills, both written and spoken
