The position
As a director, you will report to the Corporate Vice President (CVP) of API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) DK and be part of the management group. Your most important tasks will be to drive and secure a high-quality output and stable production while supporting the strategic development of API DK. Your main responsibilities will be focused on: Securing the production and release of API products, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with quality standards Setting direction and develop the organization and the people Managing the operational and investment budget, ensuring adherence to financial targets Driving the department towards operational excellence, following LEAN principles Driving a safe and engaging working environment Driving a sustainable performance culture to ensure production targets and KPI’s are met while never compromising on safety In addition to this, you will manage and optimize the department, ensuring proper allocation of resource and competences to meet business targets. As a strategic leader, you are responsible for creating both long and short-term business strategies that align with the company's overall goals. You must also ensure that your team is compliant with GMP regulations and ready for inspections.
Qualifications
To be a competitive candidate, you should have: A MSc within a relevant field (Life Science, Engineering, etc) Extensive experience in leading and developing people in pharmaceutical production Experience in change management and stakeholder management when it comes to implementing strategy and stimulate the right culture Experience in budget management and financial planning Ability to drive change and continuous improvement On a personal level, you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and you are inspiring and motivating, a strong innovator, that strives for continuous improvement, and you have a drive to set and reach ambitious targets on new ground. As you have a structured approach to your work, you can juggle several tasks while prioritising your efforts optimally by keeping the bigger picture in mind.
About the department
You will be part of a dynamic business area which produce API for patients across the world. Our main task is to produce Factor VII API to serve patient with Haemophilia and post-surgical bleedings.
Biotech & Rare disease (BRD) API DK FVII also more informal called ED2 consists of two departments (Production and Support), but we consider us as one unit, one house. The job opening is in the Support Department where you will join appr. 75 highly dedicated colleagues primarily academics and technicians including specialists. We are in close collaboration with our highly skilled colleagues in the production department which consists of app. 100 operators and skilled workers.
You will mainly work from our site in Kalundborg, but please expect approx. 1 weekly working day from our office in the Copenhagen area (Gentofte).
