The position
In this position, you will help us secure the best medicine for our patients in a team of 12 colleagues of both other scientists and laboratory technicians. You will cooperate with other laboratory teams in the department and the Insulin Manufacturing 1 (M1) production plant. In the team, we also do NVOC and TOC analysis. As a QC scientist/ supporter you will be the main go-to person for the HPLC analyses of our products and collaborate with other QC laboratories in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) production.Your job will also involve:Coordinating cross-departmental tasks on behalf of the department Supporting the lab technicians Optimizing processes, and implementing changes Deviation handling Working with Lean and data analysis Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have:
A relevant academic degree in natural sciences, engineering, pharmacology or similar Knowledge about GMP and LEAN Fluency in both Danish and English Preferably, you have experience with HPLC analysis in the laboratory from the pharmaceutical industry or another GMP-regulated environment, as well as QC compliance experience. We are also open to candidates without this experience and will provide all the necessary trainings. On a personal level, you possess a great sense of curiosity, humour, as well as an open and positive mind. You can work both independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with colleagues across the department and area. You thrive in a dynamic environment, taking a proactive approach to your work, and seeing possibilities where others see limitations. You can adapt quickly to changing priorities and ensure that your tasks flow efficiently. You are highly structured in your work, ensuring that you deliver high-quality results, while also being flexible and adaptable to new challenges.
About the department
In Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), located in Kalundborg, we produce insulin and GLP-1 to help people living with chronical diseases like diabetes and obesity. We always have many exciting projects across Novo Nordisk - some require entirely new setups to utilize the opportunities in contemporary technology, while other are more focused on optimizing existing setups.
Insulin Manufacturing 1 in Kalundborg is the world’s largest insulin factory. We produce the active ingredients which are the main component in many of Novo Nordisk’s products including our new oral product Rybelsys® for which we have high expectations. IM1 is unique as we have the entire production chain gathered under one roof.The QC department in IM1 consists of 5 teams and consists of approximately 60 colleagues all in all.
