Treasury & Risk is looking for a Student Assistant to join the Funding and Markets team.
Funding & Markets is part of Treasury & Risk (T&R) in the corporate head office of A.P. Møller - Mærsk. The wider T&R team employs approximately 50 professionals of 12 nationalities.
In addition to Funding & Markets, T&R consists of Global Cash Management, Global Risk Management, Financial Reporting & Control and APM Terminals Treasury.
As a student assistant in Treasury & Risk you have the opportunity to challenge yourself and getting insights to a corporate treasury function.
Students working at the Maersk companies are enrolled in the Students@maersk network. As a member of the community, you will have an opportunity to expand your professional and social network, gain additional insight into a large conglomerate, and learn more about Maersk as a place to work.
The number of working hours will approx. 20 hours/week.
As a Student Assistant in Funding and Markets your areas of responsibilities are:
1) Support Maersk subsidiaries in issuing, negotiating, cancelling bank guarantees
2) Ensure correct booking of guarantees in Findur.
3) Support on managing large guarantee/trade finance facilities with global banks
4) Updating and developing reports relating to the intercompany debt and guarantee portfolios
5) Various administrative student tasks.
A top performing student in the final year of your Bachelor degree and beginning your Master degree in 2021, to be completed in 2023. We expect your Master degree to be within Economics, Finance, Legal or a related area.
This is a challenging role that requires strength in several dimensions. We are searching for the following qualities in a candidate:
• Can quickly take in and process information and draw conclusions but are also able to communicate complex matters in a way that people can understand
• Are structured and used to working with many different tasks at the same time
• Don’t mind having many stakeholders and people asking things from you
• Are a no-quitter, you take initiatives and get things done and can drive a project or task across the finish line, even when facing obstacles
You are also highly reliable with a flexible approach to whatever work you undertake. You are comfortable showing initiative and have the ability to prioritise and to organise your workload. Furthermore, a positive and open mindset in combination with a sense of humour is essential.
You are fluent in English (speaking and writing) whereas Danish is not a prerequisite.
