Key Responsibilities
As a Student Assistant in Indirect Category Management, you will join our Services team from where you will be supporting Category Managers delivering on our ambitious objectives.
Your tasks will range from data analytics and process optimization to sourcing activities and project management support.
Examples on tasks:
- Mapping and analyzing data on current spend patterns and identifying cost drivers and opportunities in and across categories
- Develop and optimize reports for spend analytics to enable efficient M&A integrations
- Improve reporting processes for sustainable procurement
- Assisting with and - as you develop – independently running various tender and project activities
- Preparation of various presentation material and reports for senior stakeholders and management
- Ensure constant housekeeping of relevant master data and contract repositories
You will have significant responsibility from the start and are expected to execute and deliver on time and with a great sense of detail. In short, you will be treated as a peer in the team and get the opportunity to learn and develop every day.
Who we are looking for

You:
- are on the last year of your Bachelor studies or the first year of your Master studies in Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or similar (minimum 1½ year remaining)
- have proven analytical skills, a sharp eye for detail and an interest in data analysis and procurement
- master Excel based analysis and can transform conclusions into key messages
- have analytical abilities and a drive to create optimization in our data reports (experience with Power BI, SAP Aspire or similar business analytic tool is a plus but not a requirement)
- are entrepreneurial in spirit and adaptable in a continuously changing environment
- are international in your mind-set supported by high level of proficiency and confidence in spoken and written English
- are Interested in developing your skills within Procurement and taking the first step to a potential career within Maersk Procurement
