Director - Procurement Platform
Location: London / Copenhagen

The Business Platforms organization is at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies to improve the customer’s experience with personalized and automated end-to-end digital journeys, that enable Maersk
customers to access standardized products and services seamlessly. The Platforms help enable Maersk’s vision to be the Global Integrator of container logistics, connecting and simplifying customers’ supply chains.
Additionally, the team creates the foundation to integrate data, systems and processes, powered by scalable Digital Infrastructure and APIs.
One of the verticals in the Procurement Platform is supporting the Procure-to-Pay process with a set of homebuilt solutions under the umbrella of a solution called Procurement Mind. Procurement Mind is an algorithmbased solution that leverage data and analytics for predictive modelling, advanced analytics as well as intelligent automation of company-wide processes involving procurement data. The solution has 6 modules which will be
tailored to the different spend categories across Maersk. There are 4 Platform product owners in the Procurement Mind team.
The Business Platform Owner has the overall responsibility for bringing the platform’s vision to life; from setting the strategy, hiring and developing the best Product Managers in the industry and overseeing the development of multiple innovative software products to create an industry-leading customer experience that will delight our customers around the world.
Responsibilities
• Define the platform’s long-term strategy and translate it to a data driven operational plan.
• Define the platform’s customer centric KPI’s and build a closed loop mechanism to monitor and report
on these.
• Build partnerships with technology leaders and with a large-scale global technology organization to
build cutting edge software solutions that enhance customer experience, launch market-leading
products and solutions to create sustainable competitive advantage.
• Hiring and mentoring of top Product Management talent and manage a large-scale Product Organisation.
• Be the customer’s ambassador in various Maersk Senior Executive forums.
• Lead innovation and thought leadership in our journey to change and digitise the Logistics and Services
industry.
What you bring
• MBA/MS from top tier, globally recognized university.
• 12+ years’ relevant experience in leading Product Management teams in global Technology organizations.
• Experience identifying and hiring world-class talent.
• Expertise in articulating and executing a customer-centric digital strategy, ideally in a B2B product. (end-to-end Logistics and Supply Chain is a bonus).
• Experience with transforming AIML capabilities to business benefits
• Experience managing and influencing a diverse, global team of product managers, UX and design, content, marketing and ecommerce, in a matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
