Key role in an international organization
As Senior Finance Business Partner you will be part of the Shipping Division’s Senior Finance Business Partner team, which plays a central role as a sparring partner for the Divisional CFO and Business Unit Management. The team is close-knit and characterized by a high professional standard and the ability to take initiative in a busy and challenging environment. You will report to the CFO, Shipping Division and be based at DFDS Headquarter in Copenhagen.
Your key activities can be organized in 3 areas;
1. Reporting activities
2. Operational insight activities
3. Business development activities
Your more specific tasks and responsibilities include the following:
In view of the number of international subsidiaries you can expect some business travel – primarily in Northern Europe – estimated at 20 days per year.
Preferred profile and background
You possess a strong understanding of accounts and have experience in controlling. You have at least 3 years of relevant experience from a larger international company. We expect you to have a Master degree within accounting or finance as well as good English skills, as English is our group language. Furthermore, it will be an advantage if you speak and write Danish.
As a person you have a systematic and analytical approach to work. You have good communication skills and can work in a team across cultural and national differences. You are outgoing, friendly and have a personal drive. Moreover, you are responsible, understand the importance of keeping deadlines, and have a good sense of humor.

- Help defining and implementing the Finance Business partnering concept (supporting strategy formulation and execution) in the organization.
- Support and prepare, develop and improve the ongoing internal reporting, both historical and budgets/forecasts, hereunder identifying, preparing and interpreting relevant key performance indicators.
- Act as sparring partner for the different Business Unit Management in the Shipping Division.
- Through analysis, challenging the business units, identifying needs for process alignment and participating in the process that secures improvements and optimizations.
- Participate in projects related to new initiatives and business as well as improvements of the existing structure
- Controlling of accounting information from the different business units.
- Be a part of further developing our SAP/BPC reporting tool
