Our team is expanding, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic Sales Development Specialist to join our Sales Operation team. The role is based in our HQ in Copenhagen working as part of a global team of specialists with primary focus on growing our MICE/business sales customers on our Copenhagen-Oslo route. As a plus, you also get free travel on all DFDS passenger routes and a delicious canteen scheme.
Working in a global team of other sales specialists who are located both locally in Copenhagen as well as in our other offices across Europe. You will also work closely with stakeholders across different disciplines including revenue, pricing and onboard sales.

Main responsibilities
The responsibilities in this role are many and you will really touch upon many of our commercial processes such as product set up, price, customer requests, booking adjustments, and catering arrangements. Some key responsibilities are:
- Creating offers and making group reservations and enquiries for our MICE and party group customers with primary route focus on Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen and secondary on other DFDS routes.
- Ensuring all offers are logged and managed and CRM is used according to the Global Sales unified standards and processes.
- Efficiently handling of back-office tasks including booking adjustments, catering arrangements with the vessels, manifest entries, payments and finalising of bookings.
Furthermore, you’ll be:
- Responding to customer contact both with sales and service enquiries.
- Ensuring CRM is updated at all times.
- Working closely with the Key Account Managers to ensure good information sharing and transparency.
Preferred candidate profile
- Travel industry experience preferred but not essential. It is just as important that you come with bags of enthusiasm and energy.
- Fluent in Danish and English. Norwegian is an advantage too.
- Attention to detail and able to multi-task.
