We are looking for the right candidates to the position as Floor Manager Accommodation onboard DFDS vessels sailing between Amsterdam - Newcastle.
With our 500 cabins and various bars, restaurants and conference concept, our ships can be considered a large floating hotel. Our accommodation team makes sure that all our cabins are clean and inviting so that they create the conditions for a good stay. We have several different types of cabins, but whether you travel five in the same cabin or have booked a large luxurious double bed and private balcony, the cabin is your private place during the trip, where it is important that our guests feel welcome and comfortable.

THE JOB
In the position of Floor Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Accommodation Team which consist of 35-50 employees depending on season. It is also your responsibility to comply with all standards and administrative procedures for the area. Your day to day work will primarily take place on the floor where you have a high level of contact with guests and staff.
In collaboration with your manager, you will also be responsible for implementing new initiatives that will enhance the customer experience and sales results.
In your position you will be focusing on the following:
In addition, it will be your responsibility to motivate and coach the staff to ensure that they always provide exeptional service and that the guests get the best experience possible. You will therefore have a great influence on the employees well-being, the professional level and the guest experience.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
The work takes place onboard the vessel where the workflow consists of 14 days of work onboard, followed by 14 days off. The working hours is typically between 10-13 hours a day.
The salary follow the agreement between DFDS A/S and Metal Maritime and is DIS salary which is a net tax salary. The requirement for DIS is that you have citizenship in a EU country.
We offer free board and lodging when you are onboard and when you are not on duty, you have the oppertunity to relax with your colleagues or workout in the gym onboard.

- Administration and operation of Accommodation department
- Ensuring proactive service during check-in / disembarkation at the terminal
- Distribution of employee resources in the preparation of work plans
- Handling of feedback from guests
- Supervision of cleaning

- You have management experience and it naturally falls to you to take the lead
- You are motivated by dynamic goals and love to improve and develop your responsibilities.
- You have a positive attitude towards new challenges and can handle unexpected situations.
- You speak and write English fluently
- You have flair for IT and have the courage to familiarize yourself with the systems we use on board.
If you have experience from the department area it is an advantage, but not a requirement.
