System and Process Analyst to ensure 1st class employee experience for our sea-based colleagues at DFDS

What the job is all about

Seafaring is a way of life, with many distinctive differences from that of the land-based. It is therefore vital for our work and progress, that we include the many varying perspectives, values, and practices in the day-to-day administration of the systems and platforms we use.

Together with two colleagues, you are responsible for AdonisHR, our HR and payroll system for sea-based employees. AdonisHR is an all-in-one HR system, roughly divided into three parts: Crewing of vessels, payroll of seafarers and other essential onboard activities. As you will work closely with two colleagues, areas of expertise are divided amongst you, and your responsibility will especially be:

  • To be updated on the latest weekly system upgrades and hotfixes, evaluate on upgrades and consider if they should be applied or not, pros and cons, potential consequences etc.
  • To do the upgrades (currently a manual process, but we are working on making it automatic, among others with your help)
  • One point of contact to Adonis Support and Development
  • Maintain the test environment and ensure that there is alignment between the test environment and the production environmentTo be updated on content in the upcoming releases, plan what content should be tested when in the test environment and by whom
  • Ad-hoc tasks such as updating and distributing licenses from Adonis to the ships, share manuals with the ships, order hardware etc.

When solving your key tasks, you will be in close communication with your key internal stakeholders: the Crewing Organization, Payroll department, and Super Users onboard the ships. Ensuring the smooth operation of AdonisHR across 50+ ships is your highest priority and a crucial task in making the administrative life of seafarers the best possible.

The role is placed in our Technology and Innovation Division. You will become part of a team of 9 employees whose purpose is to provide 1st class digital employee experience in DFDS.

The position is placed in our headquarter in Nordhavn, Copenhagen, a short walk from Nordhavn Station.

We imagine that you have a relevant AP degree or bachelor’s degree within the area of IT. Moreover, we emphasize that you:

  • Quickly understand new IT systems and have a natural understanding of systems in general.
  • Are good at managing processes.
  • Thrive in working with a variety of tasks and of different characters at the same time.
  • Can solve technical tasks to some extent. Have a logical approach when it comes to ensuring a user-friendly system and process.
  • Thrive working and communicating with different people from different parts of an organization
  • Have strong English skills as English is our corporate language.

As a natural consequence of working with many stakeholders, you will meet different interests and needs, so it is not only important that you are capable of navigating in this, but also that you are ready to take responsibility for your decisions and priorities.
