For our son's home training, we are looking for a warm, committed, and proactive assistant trainer who is interested in the development of communication and daily skills for autistic children. Our son is almost 6 years old and non-verbal. We work on a number of goals related to communication, behavior, and physical development through three different methods: Intensive Interaction, speech/language and behavioral therapy (similar to ABA), and motor/sensory training.
You will become our son's assistant trainer and will work in collaboration with us, the parents, on exercises within the programs, as well as assist with recording videos for documentation and creating video modeling. You will learn about the different methods from us.
We are looking for someone who can work 8-10 hours a week, on Thursdays or Fridays, preferably in the afternoons, but we are flexible with this. Some of the hours will be with our supervisors. Of course, we are flexible around any exam periods, etc. Attractive working conditions, contact us for more information and other questions at [email protected].
