Responsible for maintaining the transient, group and catering segment inventory and responsible for maximizing profitable revenues to the business units.

Responsible for building all rates, packages and hotel sales strategy information in the hotel(s)’ inventory systems. The position oversees the inventory management systems to verify appropriateness of agreed upon selling strategies.

In addition, the position assists in the forecasting and business evaluation process.

Opgaver

Job specific tasks:

  • Provides revenue management functional expertise for all properties.
  • Understands and accurately represents individual property needs.
  • Provides targeted and timely communication of results, achievements and challenges.
  • Ensure in an efficient and accurate way all Revenue Management systems and tools, are maintained and update to date.
  • Ensures that sales strategies are communicated, implemented and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
  • Assists with pricing and provides input on business evaluation recommendations.
  • Maintains accurate reservation system information.
  • Supports selling initiatives by working with guest service department (reservations).
  • Uses reservations system and demand forecasting systems to determine, implement and control selling strategies.
  • Checks distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy and competitor positioning.
  • Analyzes historical and other available systems data to identify trends, future need periods and obstacles to achieving goals.
  • Assists with account diagnostics process and validates conclusions.
  • Position contributes to sales strategy, evaluates effectiveness and preparing forecasts and budgets.
  • Provides recommendations to improve effectiveness of revenue management processes.
  • Develop knowledge in all relevant systems (Perform, One Yield OPERA, MARSHA, MarRFP, High Performance Pricing, EPIC, Marriott Reservations Data Warehouse reporting, and Ax

General skills and knowledge:

  • The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Using basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.).
  • The ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; recognize patterns and relationships in complex data; examine data to identify implications, problems and draw appropriate conclusions; generate alternative solutions to problems; evaluate strengths, weaknesses and consequences of alternative solutions and approaches to solving problems.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Using mathematics to solve problems.

Technical skills and knowledge

  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good knowledge of spreadsheet software and analytical tools.
  • Good knowledge of transient, group and catering customer segments.
  • Good knowledge of Proactive / Reactive Sales, Front Desk and Events and how they relate to Revenue Management
