To thrive in this role, you must have a background as a structural, geotechnical or marine Engineer, with a strong track record in tunnel design, and have a passion for delivering innovative, sustainable and high-quality design solutions.</p><p>As an engineer on our team, you'll have the opportunity to be constantly exposed to our experts in the field of tunnel engineering and to world-renowned projects, such as the Femernbælt, Femernsund and Dreilinden IMT tunnel projects, Stockholm Metro, Bergen Bybane and many more. We continuously aim to remain at the forefront of technology and create innovative solutions to tackle our challenges. We collaborate with people all over the world, bringing together diverse perspectives and experiences.</p><p><strong>You will join our Transport</strong> <strong>department</strong></p><p>In the tunnel department, we will offer tasks that will interest and develop you. We will ensure your tasks vary, allowing for greater independence and higher technical knowledge and competencies. You will be a part of an international work environment with expert knowledge, sharing a passion for major tunnel projects in all shapes and types.</p><p>We are truly an international department, with a strong group of experts in their field that are able to leverage the combined knowledge of their diverse backgrounds to deliver efficient and quality designs using the latest tools. The team consists of first-adopters and leaders in getting the most out of the modern tools available to engineers/designers.</p><p>In collaboration with your team and project needs, you will be working through a hybrid of home- and office working coupled with a flexible approach to working hours tailored to suit your personal circumstances and geographic location.</p><p>Your key tasks and responsibilities includes:</p><ul><li>Working, both in a team and independently, to undertake and lead design task including design analysis, reports and oversight of drawing production</li><li>Support the development of the younger engineering team</li><li>Contributing to the development and delivery of innovative, sustainable and high-quality design solutions</li><li>Working collaboratively with your team and management to assist in managing risks and opportunities in all project phases</li></ul><p><strong>Your starting point for constant growth</strong></p><p>From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point could include:</p><ul><li>Master’s degree in Engineering and/or Science (MSc, MEng or similar)</li><li>Strong capabilities and experience in tunnel & underground space projects</li><li>Experience in numerical modelling and ideally design automation tools/initiatives</li><li>Good team working and problem-solving skills</li><li>Sound knowledge of Eurocodes and other international standards</li><li>Familiarity with concrete design and detailing</li><li>A curious and ambitious personality with the desire to improve and develop your career internationally</li><li>Interested in working with the latest tools to deliver efficient and quality design</li><li>Experience in design/project management and managing a small team</li></ul><p>Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: An open and empathetic attitude towards your colleagues and clients.</p><p><strong>Welcome to our Transport division</strong></p><p>Ramboll is a global transportation consultancy and we work on some of the biggest and most innovative infrastructure projects in the world.
