Job description of the function
In charge of the production of a technical or geographical section of the Project.
· All construction activities, installations, production under his section of the works
· Animating and Coordinating his own works sections, or his in charge of a Sub Contractor supervision
· In coordination with the Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor review and selection of the works methods
· Within the frame of the overall program, preparation of detailed programs of the works his in charge. (bi-weekly schedule); Get Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor validation
· Coordinating and liaising with Quality and Safety inspectors on a daily base
· Participate to task brief at the beginning of each shift
· Regularly review and update Junior Staff & Manpower requirement
· Organize and Provide Daily documented record Sheets
· Assure compliance of the works activities with the QHSE and the Contract requirements
· Prepare requisition order
· Prepare Work order (to plant, to logistic....)
· Alert on any S/C deviation or issue
· Immediately informs the Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor of any significant accidents of near misses in line with the Project Safety Plan
GENERAL COORDINATION
· Participate to S/C weekly works meetings
· Enhance coordination between the different sections of the works
· Make sure his team or the S/C is working with latest approved document
· Record and alert the work progress. Alert on deviation, propose corrective action and implement its once validated by the Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor
· Continuously demonstrates by his acts his full involvement in HSE issues, participates in HSE meetings and HSE programs, motivates his personnel and ensures that the works teams follow the Quality, Environment and Safety policies
· Ensures compliance of the works with the safety recommendations and the measures stipulated in the Health Safety Environment Plan. Must stop the works any time there is a risk for personnel injury
RESOURCES (STAFF AND EQUIPMENT)
· Defines his personnel needs
· Ensures that personnel allocated to the works are properly trained, qualified and informed through formalized procedures of selection, induction and tool box talks
· Prepare and manage regularly Junior Staff Assessment (minimum once a Year) as per QDVC policy: review past and fix future objectives, listen and propose training, eventually propose promotion
· Establishes and request the equipment needed for the Project
PURCHASING
· Prepare Requisition order / Anticipate delivery time by procurement (3 weeks)
· Acknowledge of Sub Contract planning and alert on deviation by the S/C
· Makes sure through the Plant Department that the equipment provided by the Subcontractors is maintained in sound operating and safe condition
SITE
· Participate in coordination with the Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor to the details of the operating procedures,
· Might participate in coordination meetings with the Sr. Supervisor/Section Engineer
· Might participate weekly in 3 weeks program meeting with the Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor
· Might Participate weekly in casting date program meeting with the Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor
· Might Participate weekly in Reinforcement program meeting with the Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor
· Is responsible for the proper use of the work facilities and equipment made available and ensures that the safety devices and all the equipment are maintained in sound working condition. (Regular inspection of hand tools by color code)
· Establishes the monitoring documents for the construction works.
- Manage that quality control monitoring is being carried out and ITP's are being adhered to.
- Manage that External validation of the methods (Temporary works Inspector)
- Manage that Surveyor is properly fixing his working area (call surveyor team)
- Check for the works to be done in line with the Independent Checking Engineer
· Establishes and preserves all the documents needed for his Scope of Work
· Alert with the Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor the "off hiring" of equipment at the end of use.
· Signs the Execution & Inspection Sheets corresponding to the parts of the Project constructed to attest their final compliance with the Contract
· Submits to the Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor the documents constituting feedback relating to the works, mainly the daily report
· Acknowledge the Health Safety Environment Plan and is responsible for its application
· Must suspend work execution immediately whenever he is informed of an event endangering the safety of the workforce or that could potentially jeopardize the Project's final quality
· Regularly checks compliance with the protective measures defined by the Environment Manager and ensures, in particular, regular cleaning of work areas, and the sorting and removal of wastes for treatment, in accordance with the Environmental Management and Waste Management Plans
· Ensures that all collective protective devices are set up before each operation and proposes to his senior management any improvement measures required
· As planned by the training department, let his employees participate to first aid training
SUPERVISE
· General Foreman/Site Foreman

· Call for Quality Inspection
· Call for ICE inspection on time
· Help to prepare safety report (near miss, accident report)

Educational Background:
· Civil Engineer or equivalent
Work experience (number of years):
· Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry
Competencies:

· English language written and oral
