As General Manager you will oversee the development and enablement of our Dell Technologies business in Denmark and be our public figurehead in Denmark. There will be significant coordination across the different businesses, which make up the Dell Technologies family. To ensure that all business units & field organizations feel part of the Danish team, are well aligned and working together to the common good of all our Dell Technologies customers and partners in country.

Position Summary

The successful applicant will be responsible for driving Dell Technologies’ business within the Danish market place as well as providing leadership to our extended Danish Organization, by leading our site Senior Management Team, Work Council etc. The successful applicant is also expected to represent Dell Technologies as a press spokesperson in Denmark as well as represent us in various branch associations etc.

The headline objective is to implement the above Business Strategy. This should be driven by an in depth understanding of the changing IT Landscape in Denmark and the Digital Transformation journey many companies are setting out to do. The position has full revenue, margin and PEX esponsibility for the Danish sales business.

Reporting Structure

This role will be leading a matrixed organization of approx. 250 people and will be reporting to the Senior Vice President of Central & North European region.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Driving the sales organization to meet or exceed all performance objectives.
  • Being recognized for your ability to build divers and highly skilled and professional teams. Leading the Danish organization as one team with a collaborative and customer focused culture.
  • Implementing programs and initiatives to build upon Dell Technologies’ strategic objectives and ensure they fit within the business landscape.
  • Holding an extensive knowledge of the Danish market and having worked with CxO and senior Government-level stakeholders to influence the IT agenda at the highest levels.
  • Possessing a track record in providing an outstanding customer experience and in implementing complex business solutions throughout the sector.
  • Being a regular keynote speaker on the IT sector along with IT strategy and how Dell Technologies can provide the right solutions for our stakeholders, and a press spokesperson
  • Driving strategic account management and pipeline development in Denmark.
  • Attracting, retaining & developing a highly skilled and experienced team of Sales professionals.
  • Being a representative of Dell Technologies towards the IT community, authorities and the press.
  • Being an active and fully participating member of the Central & North European Senior Management Team.

Qualifications and competencies to include:

  • Proven track record in successfully managing a Danish Technology Sales or Solutions business.
  • Inspirational leadership capabilities and extremely results-driven, providing a clear sense of direction to the sales teams and fostering a collaborative and customer focused culture across both the Danish sites.
  • Experience in managing a matrix organization structure
  • Ability to effectively coordinate amongst the local segments and collaborate with local Finance, Marketing and HR teams
  • Strong business acumen coupled with the ability to adapt to changing business conditions to offer our customers & stakeholders an exceptional level of service and meeting our business objectives.
  • Formal education at Master or MBA level with commercial orientation is desired.
  • Language skills in Danish and English
