WHO ARE WE?
The position is anchored in the Programme Division, in specific with the Programme Innovation team but holds very close ties to the Operations Division, the External Relations Division and the Communications Department.
ABOUT THE JOB
In 2019, DRC initiated the development of a global change project on youth. In essence a ‘global change project’ aims at mobilising the broader DRC family during a two to three-year period, in which DRC ties in its field programme response with global level analysis, research, advocacy in a reiterative approach that seeks to directly address a specifically pertinent, complex challenge in multiple situations. Global Change Projects will be sourced primarily by external and often multiple donors, as extensive field programming is core.
The incumbent will go forward with further development, fundraising and facilitation during the next period, establish a firm way forward including support to the inception period of a Youth project in Jordan.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
This role is envisaged to support an advancement of DRCs ability to work with Youth in Displacement (Global change Project) incl. a strong up-start backing (grants management) to a concrete project model in Jordan, as well as a larger mobilization and fundraising effort amongst others via the GRF pledge work.
The role has three main functions/purposes:
- Support the coordination and implementation of partnership with NNF in Amman
- Ensure coordination of follow up work from the GRF Youth Pledge including the work anchored in Denmark
- Support sourcing and development of the Global Change Project and to support further replicability of supportive projects in and beyond Middle East to achieve the overall results as formulated in the Global Change Project.
Re. 1 Support the coordination and implementation of partnership with a private foundation in Amman
- Coordination of task force in HQ
- Follow up on key information request from donor
- Grant management, keeping assure with deliverables under the contract, including ensuring coordination among primary internal stakeholders (Comms. Department, Operation Division, Programme Division incl. PIBE)
- Coordination with field, both DRC and consortium manager including ensuring compliance with donor demands, essential accountability and deliverables toward the global change project.
Re. 2 Ensure coordination of follow up work from the GRF Youth Pledge including the work anchored in Denmark
- Support the coordination of the GRF pledge made in a collaboration between Danida, 7 Danish NGOs and NNF ensuring regular meeting among NGOs and MFA under which three concrete objectives were identified
- Supporting a joint activity plan and GRF reporting format
- Support, potentially, vis a vis key joint pledge deliverables
Re. 3 Support replicability of the Global Change Project and to support further development of comparable projects in and beyond Middle East
- Support follow up on expected MFA call and ensure synergy/replicability
- Support potential WB fragility forum preparation
- Support with material/engagement with key external actors on youth incl. DI, RIMP (WB) and UNHCR
- Fundraising for the Global Change Programme on Youth in Displacement
ABOUT YOU
Required
- Strong understanding of forced displacement and migration in general and in particular youth in displacement
- Strong analytical and critical skills, including ability to analyse complex concepts and synthetize information.
- Excellent writing skills, strong communication assets and strong understanding of digital communication
- Some experience with project management, work with a broad internal project group and external multi-stakeholder management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish relationships within DRC and to external stakeholders
Desirable
- Interest in the application of innovation to enhance DRC’s humanitarian work
- Interest in the field of humanitarian-business (shared value) partnerships
- Experience with knowledge management and practices
- Relevant University Degree in political science, migration or refugee studies or similar

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and AC organisation. This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.
