Do you want to lead our Lean Transformation Journey?

Do you have a passion to work with production systems, and do you have solid experience with Lean transformations? Are you good at changing people’s habits and making them see the value of change? We are on a global journey to increase our level of continuous improvement in Global Operations on a world-wide scale. We began the journey about 2 years ago and we are looking for 2 new employees to join us and lead our Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) transformation.

Become a part of a global agenda

A unique opportunity to develop and implement Global Manufacturing Systems across the operations value chain. You will build up a new function and work closely with 11 colleagues who specializes in Strategic Programs and Aftersales – and you will join a professional and visionary organization – characterized by high ambitions and an informal atmosphere. Both positions offer excellent opportunities for both personal and professional development.

Your role will be to lead our GMS journey in all Global Operations functions and geographies across the value chain. The process has already started. We have developed the GMS toolbox and have 2 implementation pilots running in Denmark and Poland. To strengthen the ambitions, we are establishing a small central GMS team with a global agenda. The execution and local implementations will be done through a GMS community with local GMS specialists.

The vision for the GMS team is to change the way we think and the way we behave by use of a global set of GMS tools such as daily management, problem-solving, kaizen and standard work.

The goal will be achieved through local GMS implementations and training of managers and employees at all levels.

The GMS Senior Manager position

As our new senior manager, you will set the direction and develop the strategic guidance for Global Manufacturing Systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Heading the GMS team and the global GMS community
  • Being accountable for the progress of the GMS implementation roadmap and progress – both in headquarter and at the WW manufacturing sites.
  • Train and coach the Global Operations Leadership team and local managers to become GMS Ambassadors
  • Accountable for a structured, well documented and continuously improved GMS academy and library.

The position is challenging in a large and dynamic organization. You have the opportunity to work independently and have a great impact on the development of the new function and own skills.

We are looking for candidates with a profile like this:

  • 5-7 years of experience with Lean transformation from a larger enterprisE
  • Experience from having successfully implemented Lean in other companies
  • Experience with training and coaching of managers and employees not in direct reporting line to you.
  • Experience with stakeholder management and communication.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt

The GMS Partner position

As our new GMS Partner, you will lead the growth of people and improvement of processes. Your primary responsibilities will be to train and coach Global Operations functions and manufacturing sites during the implementation of GMS – and to take the role as GMS partner/project manager for specific implementation projects.

You will train and coach people in order to link the strategic objectives to measurable GMS improvement targets and work closely integrated with the local implementation teams.
You will also continuous improve the GMS toolbox in regards to processes, methods and integrate real-life cases in the training materials.

To be successful you have a passion for changing people’s way of thinking and behaving and you take pride in achieving measurable results in either process improvements, savings or peoples mindset.
You are self-driven and have a good understanding of medical device manufacturing processes in order to identify improvement potentials. You have a natural authority which makes people want to follow you as GMs partner and coach.

You come with lean experience with various lean tools such as Daily Management, Problem Solving, Kaizen events and Standard Work

You will be referring to the new GMS senior manager.

We are looking for candidates with a profile like this:

  • A master’s degree as production Engineer or similar
  • 3-4 years of experience with Lean and working with Lean tools
  • Experience with Lean implementations in a matrix organization
  • Experience with training of employees and managers at all levels

Could we be a match?

In order to take on either position experience in logistic management or production management is a requirement. A practical background in logistics and production is preferred but not a prerequisite. Further, you possess good analytic skills, you have a structured approach and work persistent in reaching good results. It’s a must that you have experience with stakeholder management and that you are a strong and engaging communicator. You have a strategic mindset and are used to working with facilitation and change management in order to transform line managers into being Lean ambassadors.

As our new GMS senior manager or GMS Partner, you should expect 30-40 travel days a year.

Please submit your application and CV before the 1st of March. For questions about the position, please contact Senior Director Kirsten Aagaard Petersen at +45 27 20 24 27.
