You will be working for your key partner DXC Technology Corporation in their headquarter in Copenhagen but report directly to the Commercial director of UnitedLex.
The Contract Manager is responsible for individual contribution as part of the Global Contracting & Commercial Solutions Group for UnitedLex.
Primary day to day focus is commercial and contractual management and support services Public and Government sector advising on technology and outsourcing deals.
The role of Contract Manager requires the individual to be well skilled in commercial and contract management and provision of expert advice and guidance on contract interpretation, monitoring, ensuring contract compliance and understanding of the key risks and obligations of contracting to leverage the contract to be maximum advantage including elements of profit / margin optimization.
Objectives for the role as CCM
- Ensure day to day contract administration and compliance
- Keeping DXC Account team informed on contract content, warnings, pitfalls, etc.
- Acting as advisors on Contracts’ “Commercials”
- Facilitating smarter and faster commercial decisions on issues and disputes
- Engage into contracts renewals or extensions negotiations
- Support Account team in crisis, issue and dispute management
We expect that the right candidate has the following experiences and characteristics
Key Responsibilities; but not limited to the following
- Provide advice and support in connection with a range of contract types, including drafting and reviewing change control notices and contract interpretation
- Provide contract administration such as sending notifications, letters, claims, and contract variations
- Identify and monitor major contract obligations and deliverables – including margin affecting clauses and proactive development of handling plans to best leverage the contract
- Ongoing development of detailed contract management plans and monthly account reporting focusing on opportunities and issues
- Provide ongoing CCM expert advice to account teams regarding contractual and commercial implications of specific terms and conditions and other provisions of the contracts
- Provide commercial / contract support to client account/sales teams
- Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contractual issues
- Review contractual performance of both parties to ensure compliance with terms and obligations of the parties and to identify conflicts or changes requiring resolution during the life span of the contract
Key Requirements to fill this position
- BA/BS e.g. cand. merc. jur or equivalent working experience
- You must be fluent in Danish and English (written and verbal communication)
- 3+ year experience from a law firm, global corporation or the Public Sector
- Good working knowledge of the fundamental legal provisions of commercial contracts
- Good working knowledge of the commercial risks/issues of commercial contracting
- Contract and commercial drafting & assessment experience required
- Ability to provide guidance/interpretation on existing contract provisions
- Ability to identify contract obligations and deliverables
- Experience of contract management process, contract -negotiations -monitoring & contract change requests
- Experience in all contract life phases, such as Transition & Transformation, RUN phase and contract exit phase
