This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead, manage and develop a small team of expert digital strategy and value engineering specialists in support of strategic pre-sales, marketing, and thought-leadership activities in the EMEA region. The role also provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with Sitecore prospects, clients, and partners to help develop, accelerate, and close sales opportunities, and then maximize value realization from their Sitecore Solutions to fuel account growth. Sitecore is investing resources and thought leadership to help our clients reimagine their customer & employee experiences, rationalize their business operations and technologies, and accelerate their rate of innovation to meet future challenges.

The Sitecore Business Value & Strategy (BV&S) practice works with C-level leadership at Sitecore’s enterprise clients to advise on strategies for customer-experience transformation and digital innovation. Our engagements leverage Sitecore’s industry trends, maturity assessments, value & ROI frameworks, best-in-class business strategy & optimization frameworks and other techniques to deliver high-impact recommendations.

Sitecore BV&S is searching for a forward-thinking business leader who will both manage and direct a team to, and individually, advise and consult with our prospects and clients to define an ambitious vision for business transformation and value, and which applies Sitecore’s full enterprise capabilities to drive their board-level strategic initiatives. You will have an opportunity to be part of a global BV&S leadership team that is focused on growing and maturing Sitecore’s market leading BV&S practice, providing a competitive edge to Sitecore through the sales process.

This role combines both leadership and practitioner elements. To succeed in this role, you will have experience in managing and leading small teams of digital strategists and value engineers to deliver strategy, transformation, optimization and value oriented engagements with prospects and clients, focused on the goals of opportunity development, deal progression and account growth. You will also have worked with, and incorporated into engagements, roles such as industry experts, sales engineers, partner representatives and other client facing technology vendor functions. You will have a proven track record of advising C-suite executives and persuading them to act on your recommendations. You will be capable of employing a hypothesis-driven problem-solving approach to analyzing discovery findings and developing relevant and compelling insights. You will be expected to recognize broad patterns in our clients’ unique business problems and use these to help define Sitecore’s go-to-market and industry point-of-view. You will also have had extensive experience of doing business in EMEA, understanding the practical differences of positioning, setting up, and running strategy, transformation, optimization and value oriented engagements in the different regions and cultures of EMEA. You would be joining a senior level and growing team that works face-to-face with a wide range of client and partners stakeholders, from practitioner to CXO level.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading, managing, directing, and developing a small team of digital strategy, optimization and value engineering experts focused on the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) region.
  • Contributing to the development of the global Business Value & Strategy practice, working in collaboration with BV&S leadership, industry & product marketing, and other key roles.
  • Working directly with senior sales, pre-sales, partner, and customer success roles across our business to drive demand for BV&S engagements in the EMEA region.
  • Participating in sales pipeline calls, quarterly business reviews and strategic account planning activities at the EMEA region level, together with providing regular reports and insights on activities and performance back to BV&S global leadership.
  • Evangelizing value selling and digital strategy based approaches both internally to field roles, and externally to clients, prospects, and partners.
  • Tracking, monitoring, and reporting on activity pipeline and support planning for the EMEA region.
  • Conceiving, planning, orchestrating, and conducting thought leadership activities in different formats including speaking opportunities and writing opportunities for Sitecore publications (e.g., newsletter, blog, etc.).
  • Supporting the development of new and upgraded BV&S assets, tools, and collateral, helping to develop the practice.
  • Providing strategic advice to C-, VP and Directory level stakeholders at Sitecore clients on delivering seamless digital experiences to customers and employees.
  • Collaborating with client and sales teams throughout the sales process to develop and evangelize a compelling and inspiring vision for the future, in the client’s language and aligned with the client’s organization goals and objectives.
  • Taking a project management, orchestration and leadership role on short and focused digital strategy, transformation & inspiration engagements with enterprise and strategic prospects and clients.
  • Leading business value and strategic focused discovery workshops with CXO, department leads and practitioners.
  • Developing and delivering highly engaging presentations, roadmaps. and advice to CXO’s & executive business audiences.
  • Conducting qualitative & quantitative analysis, performance benchmarking, ROI & business case modelling; and helping prospects and clients understand and realize the ROI of their prospective Sitecore investments by developing & presenting a roadmap to value.
  • Leading the creation of value-based case studies / success stories with clients and partners.


What you need to get started:

  • Experience in managing and leading small teams of digital strategists and value engineers to deliver strategy, transformation, optimization, and value oriented engagements.
  • Extensive experience of doing business in EMEA, understanding the practical differences of positioning, setting up, and running strategy, transformation, optimization and value oriented engagements in the different regions and cultures of EMEA.
  • A proven track record of advising C-suite executives and persuading them to act on your recommendations.
  • Experience driving digital experience transformation initiatives & engagements, either client-side or as a hands-on trusted adviser to clients.
  • A demonstrated passion for digital experiences, digital experience transformation and on how organizations can leverage new technologies and emerging best practices to delivery end-customer centric, competitive, innovative & visionary omnichannel experiences.
  • Excellent customer experience (CX) / digital optimization / digital marketing knowledge.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Experience in crafting digital or marketing strategies, along with an understanding of the technologies and tactics needed to operationalize them.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with ability to engage and encourage senior executives.
  • A proven ability to facilitate discussions with a CXO level audience.
  • Strong consulting skillset including excellent discovery, analysis, quantitative modelling, listening, and communication skills. Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills including, analyzing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with people at all levels, with internal and external marketing, sales, and technical individuals.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity and ability to absorb new concepts quickly.
  • Business fluent in English. Any other European languages would be a benefit.
  • Be familiar and skilled with graphics & presentation software, Microsoft PowerPoint specifically, to create impactful presentations.
  • Willingness to travel globally up to 40% (post-pandemic).
