Saxo Bank is looking for a professional strong and committed colleague to join our Global Tax Reporting Implementation Team in Group Operation. We offer a job with challenging tasks where you will become a part of a dynamic, highly competent, and international team.
The Tax Reporting Implementation team currently consists of 7 employees based in Denmark & Singapore and is tasked with a global mandate of delivering compliant tax reporting to regulatory bodies for Saxo Bank’s global operations. We are responsible for reporting to Tax Authorities & National Banks in Denmark, Finland, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, UK, Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, and USA.
As our new Tax Reporting Specialist, you will refer to the Head of Tax Reporting Implementation and belong to the overall Regulatory & Tax Reporting team in Copenhagen. The team’s main responsibilities are to drive the continuous improvement roadmap to provide compliant and efficient tax reporting as service.
In Group Operation, the IT and business are integrated into one organization to ensure end to end ownership of every service we provide. As the tax reporting service owner, we strive to automate as much of the reporting as well as the controls related to these and therefore, we collaborate closely with our colleagues in Tax Reporting Technology.
We are looking for a colleague to be the expert on our QI obligations and Compliance Program and work closely with the current QI team. We are also looking to implement TRACE in the coming years and expect you to support this. Any knowledge of CRS and FATCA will be seen as an advantage as well as any knowledge of other tax report so you can be a good partner and support the teams SMEs in these areas.
This is a role that offers the possibility to navigate within an exceptional agile and constantly developing company with offices & colleagues around the Globe.
Your key focus areas will be:
• Act as expert on our QI obligations and responsible for our Compliance Program.
• Help the QI team to drive and improve the reporting processes around Saxo´s reporting to US Tax Authorities, IRS (Form 1042 & 1042-s reporting)
• Support the team with knowledge of CRS and FATCA
• Transform your knowledge into IT requirements
• Setup controls and enhance the existing controls we already have
• Be part of implementing TRACE.Your Profile :
As a person you work in a structured manner and possess superb stakeholder management skills. You strive in a high-paced, dynamic environment and can manage multiple pressing priorities. You are a team player with strong individual competences. You take ownership and pride in delivering quality work on time as well as supporting the team.
You preferably have experience with QI obligations and the Compliance Program as well as knowledge of FATCA, CRS and client tax reports in any jurisdiction. It is also an advantage if you have good knowledge on the financial products and understand how these needs to be handled for tax reporting purposes as well as understanding of different Corporate Action types.
We do know that you may not be able to say yes to all the experience points and therefore it is important for succeeding in the role that you are willing to learn, grow and take responsibility for your area and make sure you deliver with high quality. It is also important that you always have the client in focus, both internal and external.
