ACCOUNT MANAGER – Crew and Leisure for Nordic Hotels

This role will be based either in Copenhagen, Oslo or Stockholm.

Qualifications

  • Desirable University qualification.

  • Min 3 Years’ experience as a Sales Manager/Account Manager.

  • Min 3 Years’ experience in the Hotel, Travel or Airline Industry.

  • Sales experience within crew and leisure clients (group and FIT) desirable.



  • Fluent in English and one Scandinavian language is necessary.



Primary objective of position:

  • Strategically drives total profitable revenue and market share growth for the area hotels from crew and leisure segments.



  • Negotiate on all airline related business; Crew, IRR, Corporate, to secure optimal agreements in line with area and hotel commercial strategies.

  • Negotiating leisure group business and coordinating the execution of group business with the area hotels in accordance with the hotel’s commercial plan and budget.

  • The job incumbent should be active, proactive, analyzing, and achieving results in every respect.

  • To support and work alongside the Area Director Sales – Northern Europe, and interact pro-actively with Revenue Optimization, General Managers and hotel Director of Sales to drive strategic commercial activity within this market segment.

  • Drive performance and market share and work towards set objectives.



  • Represent Radisson Hotel Group at meetings and trade shows as requested.

  • All work will be in line with the Radisson Hotel Group corporate guidelines and service concepts.



Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize revenue

  • Achieves budgeted goals by executing sales activities within the crew and leisure market segments.



  • Assists in the development of annual sales targets within these market segments.

  • Uses SAP Sales Cloud to log client appointments, leads and converted business.

  • Map out the business opportunities for the area and updated at all times.

  • Ensures own function operates within cost parameters.

  • Maintains effective correspondence between clients, hotels etc.



  • Meets budgeted sales and profit margins for group business by soliciting, selling and confirming business as required.

  • Develops data and recommends programs to meet client’s needs.

  • Prepares proposals to maximize profit.

  • Use sales calls to solicit existing and new clients.

  • Increases sales volumes and profitability by assisting in developing and executing projects for assigned market segments.



Sales Strategy and Delivery

  • Conducts regular meetings with the Area Director Sales & Revenue Optimization to set objectives and to ensure that action plans are in place for the area/market segments.

  • Identifies new business opportunities or strategies.

  • Creates and drives new sales plans when applicable within market segment.



  • Achieves overall Sales targets for specific market segments.

  • Implements strategies to facilitate market penetration for increased national and international production to meet increasing demands reflecting in the change and growth of the Company.

  • Conducts client inspections to secure business or confirm new business.

  • Reviews market analysis to determine client needs, occupancy potential, desired and competitive rates etc.

  • Drive and maintain overall sales to gain new business development opportunities and monitor completion of pro-active sales activities and projects.



Role & Responsibilities


  • Drive all revenue (crew, leisure groups and wholesalers) and market share growth for the area.

  • Develop knowledge of each account, its pipeline, supplier management and strategic focus.

  • Create and use consultative selling approach to maximize commercial opportunity.



  • Stay on top of industry trends, news and competitor activities.

  • Attends Radisson Sales Blitz’s and/or trade shows in key market cities to develop new business and to contact established clients in these cities.


This role will be based either in Copenhagen, Oslo or Stockholm.
