As the largest and most experienced provider of digital infrastructure in Denmark, TDC NET delivers stable and future-proof connections in Denmark. We maintain the existing digital infrastructure, while investing in new technologies that enable us to expand and improve connections nationwide. Danish consumers are making increasing demands on the speed and range of the technologies and infrastructure, and we expect demand to continue to grow. For this reason, we are constantly working to expand our network throughout Denmark. We are the critical tdcnet enabler in achieving our company strategy. As from 1/1 2022 tdcnet is an independent company with its own IT function. We have just started the next phase of our exciting change journey. This phase will take 3-4 years and is as close to a greenfield building of a modern IT architecture and application portfolio as one can be in a 100+ year old major enterprise. The journey is necessary, complex with many development opportunities for the right candidate.
Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of TDC NET’s transformation, for which we are looking for an IT Strategist with the qualification of creating our strategic plans for our technology and business services. It is important that you understand the requirements to advance and improve the business strategy. You will work closely with other business leaders to align the synergies and promote collaboration. Besides the mentioned, your main tasks will be:
- Facilitating continuous strategic decision-making processes, in order to secure strategic plans adaptable to the market and new technologies
- Collaborating with management and working to involve the larger employee base by communicating the IT strategy, services and products
- Analyzing existing and potential IT-enabled business capabilities to identify improvement opportunities
- Advising business leaders of the opportunities created through technology and working to incorporate them into business strategy
- Creating systematic processes and procedures to ensure continuous communication and alignment between IT and the rest of the business
What you’ll need to succeed
As this is a newly established position due to TDC NET’s transformation and independency, the right candidate must have the will power to be a part and drive our exciting journey. For you to be a success in this role, it is imperative that you have expertise in IT strategy formulation, whilst having a high level of business understanding. Our right candidate is challenging and possesses the ability to convince and manage stakeholders. Additionally, for you to succeed you will need the following:
- 3-5 years of experience in IT strategy development
- Knowledge of a broad range of cloud application and infrastructure services
- Knowledge of service architecture development
- Knowledge of forecasting, modeling, and scenario development tools and techniques
- Working knowledge of risk/return analysis and IT standards and policies formulation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
