JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the Global Enterprise Application team, the Global ERP Technical Lead will play a critical role in delivering successful solutions by partnering with business and technology groups to manage the technical ERP solutions. Currently the focus is on two things. One is to secure the running AX2012 R2 and the second is to participate in the Global ERP-based Program for the Microsoft Platform D365. The scope of the ongoing ERP Program is to move from independent solutions at our sites around the world to a Global Solution.

As a Technical Lead for D365 F&O and AX2012, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of our Microsoft Dynamics platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain the platforms to meet business requirements and ensure its continued stability, performance, and scalability. The role will also be a key resource in collaborating with the larger Microsoft Enterprise ecosystem together with AGC Inc. in Japan.

The role also involves building and developing reports, integration of applications, developing external interfaces, maintaining technical documentation, design, data conversion, and resolving issues. Verbal and written communication skills in English is a must. This position will contribute in setting the Global standard for Good Operations Practice, which is a key element for the successful operation of our ERP platform and other key platforms for AGC Biologics to grow on.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that the Application landscape and all its components are in its best performance and running effectively for all process, technical, and support aspects of Microsoft Dynamics ERP, AX2012 and moving to D365.
  • Collaborate with functional leads on technical issues and change requests and oversight of technical activity provided by partners.
  • Technical lead for application system implementation using best practices and adhere to the JSOX and GMP policies and procedures, security, and user access management.
  • Manage 3rd Party vendor technical team on technical related activities and managed services.
  • Quality Assurance: Secure testing of customizations, developments and integrations to ensure they meet client requirements and follow good practice for Microsoft Dynamics development to stay compliant.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues, including error messages, system crashes, and data inconsistencies. Implement solutions to resolve problems.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure that AX2012 and D365 configurations and customizations comply with GMP, J-SOX, and other industry standards and security best practices.
  • Design, build and Implement secure role-based security settings. Maintained by our technical partner for ERP managed services.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest developments in Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 and related technologies. Pursue relevant certifications to enhance expertise.
  • Conduct code review for any technical fixes or customizations as well as working with Business Analysts before conducting user acceptance testing. Ensuring that all related parties signed off before putting into production.
  • Secure good practice in design and maintenance of system integration. This includes internal and external system integration.
  • Track progress of assigned tickets with a focus on meeting delivery deadlines and SLA’s.
  • Develop knowledge management articles for incidents, and knowledge transfer for offsite support team incl. technical support staff at partner in India.
  • Collaborate with IT internal and external partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Provide guidance on best practices and recommend technical solutions for business challenges.
  • Maintain the customization and development efforts in Microsoft Dynamics AX2012.
  • Design and implement enhancements, extensions, and integrations using X++ and other relevant technologies.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, customizations, and integrations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Expert acumen in the technical side of Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem as Technical Lead.
  • With more than 5 years’ experience in managing the technical aspects of AX2012/D365 and related integrated services.
  • Knowledge and experience on general installation, configuration, administration, performance backup, monitoring and tuning, capacity planning and maintenance of the systems.
  • Possesses strong analytical, technical solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to develop and write clear, thorough functional or technical requirements that drive effective solution development.
  • Familiarity of effective testing practices and methodologies.
  • Ability to define and execute appropriate test scenarios to validate system solutions.
  • Ability to effectively utilize available tools and resources (internal and external) to resolve issues.
  • English verbal and written communication skills enabling the persuasive presentation of proposed solutions and the delivery of effective end-user training.
  • Willing to work in a fast moving and in out of office hours to support environment.

Preferably:

  • Ability to lead smaller projects and activities well independently within a fast paced, dynamic, deadline orientated environment by embracing all tasks with competency, energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Understanding of Financial, and Logistics processes or modules of Microsoft Dynamics Ax is a plus.
  • Experience with operation in a Pharmaceutical or regulated environment.
  • Experience with partnering with external technical staff.
  • Knowledge of business-specific application system manufacturing, such as ERP, LIMS, MES etc.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of experience in similar role
  • Experience implementing Microsoft applications manufacturing industry, biotech and GMP experience preferred.
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Equivalent education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
