Green Hydrogen Systems



In this position, you will be part of Green Hydrogen Systems Process Department within R&D, and you will work with the newest P2X technology.

As Valve Expert, you will work on finding and choosing the current and future generation of valves for gas/liquid systems in GHS’ electrolyser modules. Potentially, you will be co-developing with sub suppliers.

You will be involved in design, optimisation, and verification of control valves and utilise the knowledge in GHS’ electrolyser module in close cooperation with suppliers – maybe using simulation model as part of your daily work.

Also, you participate in ongoing and new technology and research projects, interacting closely with peers from your department and cross functional.

Areas of responsibility


Your area of responsibility will be all systems utilising valves:

  • Go-to Expert on pneumatic or hydraulic controlled valves, primarily for gas, but also other fluids
  • Design and application (selection etc.)
  • Stakeholder management of valve suppliers both present and new
  • Cost reduction projects

Specific work tasks


Some of the specific tasks could be:

  • Close collaboration with process and control engineers to design the electrolysis unit with the right control valves
  • Design and technology development of demanding valve applications, maintaining current design, materials, and components and development of new features and products
  • Qualification of new suppliers

Success criteria


First, it is vital to understand the system. Second, you will be a success as GHS’s Valve Expert if you contribute to the development of the existing solutions as well as drive the development of new ground-breaking products and solutions.

Profile


You hold a degree in mechanical, process, thermal engineering or similar.

You have solid experience with valves for controlling of gas systems or similar, both pneumatic and hydraulic controlled valves. You have previously worked with a valve component supplier or a system integrator, preferably within a production/manufacturing environment where the work involved valves control strategies: electrical and pneumatic, including specification, collection, and selection of the right valves as well as choosing the right materials.

You can demonstrate experience with design and technology development for demanding valve application or have hands on experience with the newest valve technology or valve manifold solutions.

You can communicate in English, verbally and in written.

As a person, you are self-driven, entrepreneurial and exercise initiative. You are result oriented but still hold a strong desire to break existing boundaries and explore new technologies. You have a structured approach to your work but 80/20 % is also accepted by you. You are responsible and can stay focused in a busy environment. You hold a product development mindset. Finally, you are a team player and communicate in a transparent manner.
