Lead SCADA Engineer for Operations & Integration

Your new role
The lead SCADA Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, support, and daily operations of control and automation systems, interfaces, and data exchanges for 1st level SCADA systems. The lead SCADA Engineer will work with closely with the Operations and Integration team of 14 people as well as several other departments within the organization and customers. You will report to the SCADA Manager for Operations and Integration.
The work tasks and key responsibilities in this position will be:
• Support the daily operation of Vattenfall’s wind assets and wind farms (both offshore and onshore)
• Ensure data integration and operation of future wind farms
• Operational tasks (troubleshooting of system failures)
• Support the manager by developing and building competences within our lead area
• Develop and implement the strategy for operation of SCADA and control systems for the sites
• Lifecycle replacement consisting of visiting the sites and replacing of components
• 24/7 shift (for one week) every 6-8 weeks
What you'll need to succeed
• A degree in electrical engineering or similar (can also be an electrician)
• 10 years of experience with SCADA systems within the Wind or Energy sector
• Experience as an automation engineer within technical areas
• Knowledgeable of operational processes and have a systematic and focused approach to your daily tasks
• Experience leading others
• See documentation as a natural and integrated part of the work
• Strong English language skills. Danish is an advantage.
• Have a flexible approach to travel and offshore work
• Have a GWO certification
• Are read to participate in a limited 24/7 “on call” support
• Have strong communication skills and a strong personal drive
• Are a true team player
