The Blade Module department is part of Vestas Power Solution. Vestas Power Solutions is the cornerstone of Vestas. Through innovation, development and continuous product improvement, we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas. To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future.
You will work as part of the Process and Mould team within the Blade Module. Our purpose is to ensure that Vestas has the right moulds to build the blades. There is close collaboration with the design engineers, suppliers and manufacturing. This position will be a major part of the Blades Mould tools team and is essential in secure the future blades and thereby Vestas' future achievements. You will work as part of the Process and Mould team within the Blade Module. Our purpose is to ensure that Vestas has the right moulds to build the blades. There is close collaboration with the design engineers, suppliers and manufacturing. Responsibilities
You will be responsible for ensuring Vestas has the right shell and web moulds to support efficient blade builds across our global footprint (both internal and external factories). Specific responsibilities include:
- Defining clear requirements for our shell and web moulds that are aligned to the blade manufacturing process requirements
- Defining validation methods for each requirement
- Liaising with suppliers (internal and external mould suppliers) to ensure their solutions meet our requirements
- Developing a 'total cost of ownership' model to facilitate decision making (e.g. CAPEX vs OPEX costs)
- Liaising with internal procurement department to ensure we have appropriate technical content in contracts (i.e. Technical Purchasing Specification)
Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of mould engineering for complex composite structures
- Mechanical or structural engineering degree
- Experience and use of 6-Sigma design methodologies and quality tools
- Experience specifying and developing requirements and validations methods
- Understanding and experience of composite material manufacturing processes is highly desirable
- Advantage if you have experience with Catia V5 for creating Engineering models or Design Manufacturing models

- Ability to plan, scope and handle work package execution
- Be a team player with solid communication skills both locally and internationally
- Display a high degree of flexibility, and problem solving
- Ability to display aspiration and enthusiasm for high quality delivery
- Enthusiastic, engaged and willing to go the extra mile
- Advanced level in English both in speech and in writing
