Terma is currently facing an exciting future with a considerable growth and demanding changes. Terma is looking for highly qualified and passionate Director, IT Operations & Support to become part of this journey and to become a team member of our IT organization in Lystrup.

The IT Operation & Support organization is part of the Group IT department and reports to the Vice President, IT. The daily work involves cross-organizational cooperation with management in IT, staff functions and across all business areas. The cooperation will take place on various levels and across international locations, depending on the task at hand. Terma’s IT department is mainly located at Terma’s head office in Lystrup, DK with staff also at our offices in Grenaa and Herlev. Our more than 40 employees are supporting approx. 1.800 users across our locations in DK, The Netherlands, Germany, The United States, India, The United Kingdom and Singapore.

As Director, IT Operation & Support, you will be part of The IT management group, and several fora with our internal customers.

We have a working environment with an informal tone, however with focus on maintaining the professional and reliable service that characterizes IT in general.

Your job tasks will include

In the role as Director, IT Operations & Support, you will be responsible for running our IT services, working with management of 2 competent teams consisting of 20+ technicians, securing IT operations and support, and implementation of new IT services across Termas locations. Furthermore, your job tasks will be:

  • Lead and manage the IT Operations & Support through people development, coaching, training and talent acquisition

  • Develop high performing teams by coaching and improving individual capability through performance management systems and processes

  • Development, including aligning and involving key stakeholders in Terma Business areas

  • Develop the IT Operations & Support strategy and ensure alignment with remaining departments in IT

  • Tactical planning the work with the team managers for IT Helpdesk & Support and IT Operations, so that IT can deliver what is agreed

  • Continuously develop the operational IT setup to ensure business efficiency in a global working company

  • Ensure the Operational setup for managing the complex IT Security requirements

  • Ensure effective 1, 2. and 3. Level support in Business opening hours

  • Develop our internal IT processes so that we can meet the requirement on compliance

  • Develop our IT services to meet future demands for service levels, efficiency and documentation


Qualifications

We expect that you have a sound understanding of the technical foundations within IT infrastructure, most likely with an educational background as IT engineer or other relevant degree, and you already have experience with managing a team.

You posses a solid business acumen and have documented experience with translating business needs and ideas into value for stakeholders through the utilization of information technology.

With more than 1.800 users relying on our IT infrastructure, you understand the value of delivering in a serviceminded and proactive manor, and posses the necessary communications skills to turn ideas and ambitions into actions.

We expect that you are analytic and structured in your way way of working and capable of prioriticing the many tasks and projects. You are curious in your approach to new tecnology and capable of understanding and solving very complex problems

Fluency in Danish and English in both speech and writing ia a prerequisite.

Your personal qualifications

You are self-driven and have outgoing personality with a positive mindset. Furthermore, passion for and experience with leading in IT operations environments will be highly. With your strong skills, personality, and drive, you are able to win respect across our organization. You master stakeholder management and with your communication skills and your focus on ensuring the right solutions, you navigate naturally around a cross-disciplinary environment where solutions and deliveries are the result of effective collaboration.

You are able to manage teams with individual managers which makes it possible for the team to achieve its goals. You thus exhibit a high degree of personal integrity and thrive to have an independent responsibility for tasks, but naturally also take a shared responsibility in the team.
