Team and role
We are seeking a Proposal Manager for our Surveillance and Mission Systems (SMS) area. This position offers an opportunity to grow within the proposal domain, contributing to the delivery of complex radar solutions for ports, coasts, airports, wind farms, navies, and Command and Control solutions. Our solutions serve the Danish Navy and navies and coast guards globally.
As a Proposal Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team of five Proposal Managers located in Søborg and Lystrup, responsible for managing all complex proposals within SMS. You will collaborate across our offices in Singapore, the US, and the Middle East, working closely with Service, Programs, Products, Technology, Legal, and Supply departments. Our team thrives on excellent relations, an open and positive culture, and a commitment to delivering high-quality proposals on time.

In this role, you will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities critical to the success of our proposal management process. These include:
- Manage Proposals: Oversee the entire proposal process from initial concept to final submission, ensuring that all proposals are completed on time and meet the quality standards. This involves planning, and facilitating many tasks to ensure each proposal is effectively made.
- Coordinate Input: Collaborate with various team members and stakeholders to gather necessary inputs for proposals. This includes technical details, pricing information, project timelines, and any other relevant data. Ensuring all contributions are integrated cohesively into the final proposal document is key.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and continuous communication with all stakeholders involved in the proposal process. This includes keeping them informed about progress, timelines, and any issues that arise. You will need to ensure that all parties are properly informed and involved as needed.
- Sales Support: Assist sales leads during meetings and sometimes in negotiations with customers. Your role will involve providing detailed knowledge of the proposals, addressing customer questions, and supporting the sales team to secure contracts.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to optimize and improve proposal procedures and tools. This involves reviewing current practices, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the proposal development process.
Qualifications
We seek a proposal manager to grow in the role and expect that competencies within proposal management will be build-up on the job. The following qualifications and attributes is essential:
- Independent Worker: You should be able to work independently, and have the ability to manage your own tasks and deadlines without constant supervision
- Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in managing and coordinating with various stakeholders are essential. You should be adept at building and maintaining relationships, ensuring that everyone involved in the proposal process is aligned and working towards a common goal.
- Structured Approach: A structured approach to work, with a focus on coordination and follow-up, is vital. You should be able to organize tasks, keep track of multiple parallel activities, and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to build-up a good commercial understanding and balance technical and commercial considerations
- Team Player: Being a supportive member of a high-performance team is important. You should value collaboration, share knowledge freely, and contribute positively to the team's success.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English, both oral and written, is required. You should be able to communicate effectively with international colleagues and customers.
Additionally, we are looking for a candidate with:
